WELL...I can understand some of the negative reviews. Dr. Van Eldik is a knowledgeable and good doctor....He is in no rush speaking with you and answers questions in an understandable easy manner....All the doc's on staff are excellent....I found the office staff to be rude. We're rating the doc, not the staff....But people should be advised not become what this staff feels is 'difficult' such as you might need to change an appointment or want questions answered, etc.......You could end up looking for a doc elsewhere...

My Spouse and I don't really enjoy colonoscopies...(who does right?). We sure like Dr. Van El Dik and the great support staff.

I have been a patient since 1990's. My 1st visit I had a really long list of questions for my colonoscopy. He was so kind, listened to all my concerns, and was professional yet caring. Over the years, those who drove me were astounded at the receptionists, the medical help, & especially Dr.Van Eldik, who always has a smile & always explains thoroughly how the test went & any instructions were clearly stated. Very professional, and I recommend him without hesitation. He knows his field of medicine and I felt very comfortable going to him. If you have questions beforehand, ask for a consult with him. You will love him!

Every office visit or procedure I have had done has always been the best experience. Dr Van Eldik is a kind and thorough doctor. Explains everything in detail and always takes the time to listen to your symptoms and any other problems. This is the best gastro doctor around. Always refer him to any one who needs a great doctor.

Although I had had a colonoscopy with Dr. van Eldik, I was informed by his office that Dr. van Eldik refused to see me as a patient because I had seen another doctor for my last colonoscopy. What kind of practice refuses to see a patient just because they have seen another professional? I am in disbelief of this lack of professionalism.
