The Windsor Of Ocala's Online Review Report Card

After years of bringing my Dad here for special events it came time to consider optional living arrangements for him, he turns 99 next month. Although he hopes to stay in his own home "forever" and I told everyone that up front, when I visited to preview apartments, services, etc. I received the most kind and warm welcome I could ever imagine. From the time I was greeted at reception throughout my entire visit and tour Brenda, Marty and everyone there was patient, honest and truly focused on his needs and what I was looking for on his behalf. I fell in love with the apartments; big rooms, calm colors, each with a safe kitchen, bathroom and living area all with a touch of elegance, tradition and respect for privacy. Brenda listened to my concerns about his unique circumstances and candidly shared what variety of living arrangements and even outside services (like Hospice) could be incorporated into their community. I was truly impressed with their professionalism and deeply touched by their gentle approach as they took the time to learn about my Dad, and then Brenda came to visit us! It was amazing, she and Dad got along great! He's still planning to live at home for now, but he and I both now know there is a warm and welcoming option available at Windsor of Ocala. Thank you for a wonderful and heart-warming visit!

Brenda Pickard and Marti were wonderful in assisting me with an ideal placement for my Father. Their integrity and kindness was a tremendous support to me in this difficult and no doubt final transition for my Father. They helped me to feel like I am not alone. Our family was facing the reality that we needed help in caring for our parents and we visited a few facilities even though we were not convinced we should take this approach to get the help we needed. When we visited The Windsor our initial views changed. The Windsor is different, they care and understand what families are going through, and how to help you navigate this time in life. We learned that care facilities can be a healthy chapter in life for your parents. The Windsor is a well designed facility that feels like “home” and is a healthy community, and feels and functions like a high quality hotel. There are many choices in accommodations, activities, and dining. Equally, the leadership and staff at The Windsor are professional and caring. Everyone took the time we needed to understand all the details for care of our parents. At no time did we ever feel we weren’t being listened to or our concerns being addressed. Something unique we learned about The Windsor is the facility and staff see the residents as individuals and “tailor” the care to each person and personality, to achieve the quality of life we hope for our parents. A special thanks goes to Brenda for the time she took to get to know our family and parents so we could make the best decisions. Brenda is genuine, caring, and knowledgeable, she gets it. As a family we decided on The Windsor and happy to say we start the journey next week.

Very clean facility bad management

I'm just wondering why this company received 1 million in ppp money and have not given any to their employees. Isn't that against the law..

We live next door to The Windsor of Ocala and they have invited us to their get togethers and even during COVID they invited us to pickup lunches on July4th and Labor Day. They are so special. We love them. They are a shining clean place

This is the very best in Ocala, and better than in most other places. The "age in place" philosophy is not common in most senior communities. I HIGHLY recommend The Windsor for independent living with "as you need it" assistance options. You needn't move a loved one (or yourself) from facility to facility as the need for assistance grows.I contacted The Windsor by email from out of state. Brenda was lightning fast getting back to me and interested in the details of my search for a family member's relocation to Ocala. Her genuine concern to assist us with our search was incredible. She accommodated my erratic schedule cheerfully, and welcomed us for the tour as though she had known me for years. There was a personalized greeting on a photo stand as I entered. Brenda is an expert in her field and determined to assist in every possible way. She describes The Windsor as a "cruise ship on land" with all of the attention to residents that phrase implies, with the top priority being health and safety. The grounds, services, accommodations and dining are of the pampered nature one experiences on a luxury cruise. The staff exudes a willingness to help and is cheerful. The low rate of turnover indicates a great place to work. That says it is a great place to be for residents as well. Better than 5 stars all around.

Since 2010 i have had nothing but amazing experiences with all associates and leadership team at The Windsor of Ocala. They have displayed a true sincere passion for what they do for families and residents. I couldn't recommend a better residence for your loved one. They are the experts in the industry providing the highest standards of quality of service, lifestyle and care. Before you make any decisions for your loved one, I highly encourage you to reach out to this stellar community who are the leaders and experts in the industry. Don’t let the beautiful facility and nice staff fool you: Place is understaffed and care is below standards!! One (only 1) person cares for all the patients (@80) alone at night. The food is not good and served by one person for all the residents. Ongoing problems the past year since my father arrived. They don’t respond to pull cords in a timely manner (hours). We pay for extra for a high level of assistance for help when requested 5-6 hrs later. I am lucky my parent is still alive. Many of the doctors I know have already removed their parents from this facility. While the staff is nice and the facility is gorgeous, it’s not dignified for anyone to live this way!!

My Aunt choose this place to live and I can tell you this after a year of experience. They have very skilled persons who are gifted in accommodating even the most difficult residents (my Aunt for instance) Marty, Christian and the staff truly love the residents. They can handle most any thing that a challenging resident can offer. They have the experience it takes to make a lovely home for those that we love. They go way out of their way to be sure everyone is safe and comfortable. This place is great! You can be confident that your family will receive the best of care.
