Thomas Lafferty's Online Review Report Card

Today was my first appointment with Dr Thomas Lafferty. I found him to be extremely knowledgeable, through and compassionate. I am confident that I am in good hands with this doctor!

First I had to wait 3 months for my first appointment, finally the day comes, nurse guy was awesome and professional, on the other hand I’m very Dissapointed with Dr. Lafferty, after I told him all my symptoms and concerns, he never did an evaluation on me just sit down on computer and started asking questions and one of the question he keeps asking over and over again total of 7 times same exact question after I keep answering no I don’t know if he is getting some early Alzheimer’s or was having a bad day because he was acting like he wasn’t focusing properly. Then he was offering prescriptions for every single of my concerns and I say to Him I rather to have labs to diagnose before getting into meds because I’m always concern about side effects etc he says fine and gave me a labs order and an appointment for 6 months. I inmediately went to get my labs done and having the lapcorp app I got the benefit to see results as soon as the are ready so as soon as a got the results I found out many of my labs are abnormal and did my research and it could be from bad medical issues so I was expecting the office to call me right away to discuss my results and after almost 6 weeks, I still haven’t recieved any phone call. I called the office and explained that to receptionist and she says oh well no news means good news I was like really after I told her I had abnormal results so she transferred me to Mr. Joshua extension and voice mail says to leave a message that he will contact you at the end of the day and nothing, called again same day in the afternoon and same thing happened. Today I called again and again got the voice mail and still haven’t received a call back. For me is very important to have a good dr., patient relationship specially is is going to be a dr you have to visit often and I don’t think I can have that with this Dr. I have work with Dr and also my brother and sister in law are doctors as well and honestly Dr. Lafferty doesn’t have what it takes in my opinion and based on my own experience. I wish I saw so many bad reviews before I waist my time and money. I will definitely find the right rheumatologist for me one that really care for the patient.

This thorough and friendly doctor offered a very thorough intake. He asked many questions and typed lots of notes, with great interest and care. I felt supported and respected. He made a great referral to an office that quickly called and scheduled me and I could tell that they had good communication between them. He refilled my medication promptly. I was able to get an appointment within a few days or weeks (instead of months!). Feeling optimistic about the care I’ll be receiving here! Their simplified, electronic intake questions were a nice change to tons of paperwork on a clipboard. He also offered a printed summary of the visit. Professional, caring, available. Highly recommend!

Dr lafferty told me he was too busy to look at my results after I waited months to see him and went to the mayo for a diagnosis which I received. Dr lafferty told me he had patients to see. I'm not sure what I was. He just asked me what I wanted. I responded with " a biologic" his response was "which one" My response was I don't have any experience with this stuff why don't you choose one. If I were a doctor I certainly wouldn't have needed him. I'll go back to my PCP and get another referral.

This office is fantastic . From the front office, the assistant, Dr. Lafferty phenomenal caring and knowledgeable people. He takes time to listen to every detail and his questions probe deeper to unlock everything that might be adding to the problems that I’m bringing to him for resolution. I’m always leaving his office feeling better.

This was the best office experience I have had in a long time! Everyone professional from the receptionist, to the nurse taking my info to Dr. Lafferty. He gave me my diagnosis, and called in the script during the first visit. I was felling better from my muscle, joint discomfort in days, after having it for 5 months, trying everything else suggested by my GP. I am beyond happy with Dr. Lafferty!

Excellent. I was new patient. Thorough and knowledge of my issues. Easy to talk with. Asked me several times if I had questions.

I wish it were possible to give 0 stars. Not necessarily for the doctor himself, but for SIMED Health, the office he works under. I have had a referral since September with an appointment on a Monday in January. I recieved a voicemail the Thursday before canceling my appointment because of an issue with the referral. Upon hours of arguing with the office, calling my referring doctor, and an entire new referral being submitted, they confirmed I would still have my appointment on the following Monday. On Friday, I received text and email confirmation for my appointment on Monday. I also completed the early check in process on Saturday. All of this just to walk in on Monday and be told they canceled my appointment again for absolutely no reason. Their words exactly was that there was no explanation, it was just canceled. They were adamant that someone would call to reschedule. My PTO is now wasted and I do not have a single day of PTO left. Not to mention, all of my other appointments are waiting on this appointment for clearance. With this being said, if you don't want to waste your time and money, I suggest seeking care elsewhere.

Dr lafferty was very considerate and kind. I went in super nervous because of the negative reviews. But I have no idea why they even exist! He was super attentive and listened to me. He is very caring and knowledgeable and I highly recommend him.

I am a doctor but I would never ever refer any of my patients to Dr Lafferty what a disastrous person. I was a few minutes late because they sent me to the wrong office and when I got back to his office they refused to take me. What kind of a wayside that to I treat a patient in crisis. I am in the process of reporting him.
