Dr. Groden did not take me seriously when I told him I had a history of seizures coming out of anesthesia. I gave him advice as to how to avoid it but it seems he wanted to do things his way and kept telling me that the drug he uses “propofol” is actually used for seizures and I will be just fine and there will be no problems. So because he didn’t listen to my advice to bring me out of the anesthesia slowly and give me some ativan I ended up having a grand mal seizure. I wish doctors would listen to the patient and trust that they know their body the best.
