Misdiagnosed in ER and given antibiotics for an infection I didn't have.

Was seen by Dr. Falk Flach at ORMC May 11 2018. I have to agree with previous reviewer - RUDE, Arrogant. Never been spoken down to before like this from any medical professional. A friend who witnessed this concurs. Worse yet, he refused to even attempt to call for the on call ENT doctor because (and I quote) "well, he won't want to drive the 30 miles on a Friday night to do this..." (At least make the call? Possibly phrase this differently?) NOTE: I was seen at same ER 3 times in a 24 hour period for (very) severe nosebleed - it had abated somewhat by the moment that he walked in after I had taken previously instructed measures on this third trip to the ER, making for a good opportunity to perform cauterization. Instead he chose to state 'well, it's not bleeding so bad NOW..' and then gave the order to repack my nasal cavity (This time was VERY painful, unlike packing I received at first visit) which has very likely now ruptured previously cauterized blood vessels, delayed the inevitable (cauterization) and put me at unecessary risk of infection. His bedside manner is that of a spoiled man-child. The other nurses and PAs were attempting to compensate for his behavior I think. 'He is my boss, I'm really sorry about that' was spoken more than once by his hardworking associates. This man does not deserve his job IMHO. About me: 50's, male, college educated, not a perfect human being but try to be prepared with information, history and am generally cooperative to a fault unless something is off in my judgement - then I start asking more and more questions. I came up in the age of AIDS where I watched how it was important to advocate for one's own health care within a generally uncaring, dismissive and sometimes hostile health provider environment. I am not afraid to go toe to toe if I feel I am not being treated properly. When a patient is bleeding, in pain, exasperated and just plain scared from 3 trips to ER from uncontrolled bleeding, the patient is at the extreme disadvantage and deserves every cooperation and courtesy. I hope that this is NOT the doctor you run into under these (or any) circumstances. I hope this note helps someone., somehow. TCB.
