Office crew is very rude, try being nice to your guests. I’m taking both of my kids out of his practice
I have been taking my children to permeir pedatricts for 4 years now. There are two Dr. Stephine Crum and Dr Mark Gilchrist. My children have seen Mark about 3times since we have been going their he has never shown a inviting attitude towards my children very impersonal..I usually request Dr Crum. I took my son to the dr he had a bad reaction to tbe TB test. From the moment the Dr enterterd the room he was rude. Very short talking and snappy.I handed him the TB results he snatched the paper from my had as if he was mad or irrtated about something. Wrote me some scripts never explained what was going on. Was mubbling under his breath. His attitude had my 16 year old nevreious and not knowing what was going on.He never touched my son nor looked at the inflected site. He treated us like we should not have come their for help. Instead of educating us on TB and what was going on. Told us to go get a chest x-ray and he needs to go to infectious dease. Went for the chest x-ray and everything was fine my son just had a bad reacton to the test. We are citizens of the U.S and have never been out of the country the dr asked us that numerous times..But if we were I can only imagine how their experience would have been. This Dr was extremely un professional and down right rude.I thought doctorsr were supposed to help and be happy about it especially when your a pediatric doctor. Very haeart broken and disappointed in the service from this doctor. Most of all how my son was feeling after the visit.
My daughter has come to see Dr. Gilchrist many years, he listens, I believe he has her best interest at heart. He is always professional and if we disagree he tries to understand my side, his staff is always courteous to us and make my daughter smile. I would recommend him to any parent. We also see Dr. Crum as well she is a fine doctor also.
Dr. Gilchrist has been our pediatrician for the past 7, almost 8 years. My children truly enjoy going to the doctor and look forward to their visits. The staff is friendly and helpful and can always get me in the day I have an emergency with one of my children. Dr. Gilchrist is very straight forward and does a great job of answering my questions. The nurses there are also wonderful. They are kind and helpful. Everyone there knows my children by name. I love their doctor.
I truly enjoy having Dr. Gilchrist as my children's pediatrician. His staff is warm, welcoming, and knows my children by name. The nurses are helpful and kind to both me and my children. Dr. Gilchrist has a straightforward attitude and always does what's in the best interest of the children. He listens to what I have to say, listen to the children, and makes a decision that is best for each individual child. I feel confident in him and will continue to use him as our doctor.
I saw Dr. Gilcrist because I believed that I had strep throat. I was told by him that I did have it, and so he gave me a prescription for amoxicillin. About a week later, I broke out in a violent rash. My skin was covered with red dots all over my body. Arms legs stomach back.. You name it, it was there. I went to another doctor, and this new doctor told me that I really had mono. Mono symptoms mimic strep symptoms, and if one has mono & is given amoxicillin meant to treat strep, their skin will break out in a violent rash. Bottom line, dr. Gilchrist is very un thorough. He should have done a mono test but he did not. I am now seeing another pediatrician.
My daughter has been a patient of Dr. Gilchrist's for 18 years, yet today, I was extremely disappointed in his service. Our nurse was above and beyond in her caring attitude and personal attention to her issue. When Dr. Gilchrist entered, and I explained why we were there, he never even looked at me or my daughter. He wrote his notes on her chart as I talked, got out his referral pad and informed me that she would need a referral. When I voiced my concern about the seriousness of her condition, the only time he looked me in the eye, and his flippant, uncaring reply was simply "I hope they can see her quickly". A grand total of about 55 seconds was spent with my daughter. Less than 1 minute, after 18 years of care was what my daughter warranted to Dr. Gilchrist today. I don't know if he is burned out, having a bad morning or what. No excuse is valid for the apparent uncaring service that my daughter received today. Needless to say, it's time to move along to a new PCP.
All of my children were patients of this doctor at one time or another over the past 19 years and I'd always had a high opinion of him. However, after not having been in for some time, I brought my daughter in for a routine physical and shots and learned that he is not the man he used to be. He was extremely rude to us, very rough in his examination and in and out of the room in about 5 minutes. The only positive thing I have to say about the visit is that the nurse who attended to us and the staff were all very kind. Nevertheless, we will never be returning to that office.
We've been using Dr. Gilchrist for over 16 years. Recent experiences with another doctor's office in Apopka have confirmed what we thought all along; Dr. Gilchrist is what every pediatrician should want to be. He is always willing to take the time to make sure to explain the diagnosis and the treatment. And you won't see a PA at his office; you'll see the Dr. For the young Mother, his calm bedside manor will set you at ease. I'd definitely recommend Dr. Gilchrist!
Mostly about getting you in & out to generate revenue. Been seeing this MD for over eight and have decided to call it quits due to a lack of personal regard for patient needs and cost of care.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
