Dr Marvin Sponaugle is an anesthesiologist, not an infectious disease specialist. He claims he’s been in practice 40 yrs, which puts him at age 24 when starting career. All Docs must do one year after medical school, learning about everything, then move on to a 3-4 yr residency in chosen field. He preys and prays on people with chronic illness and is a smooth talker, all while taking your money. Do your research before seeing him or trusting him. To be an infectious disease doctor, one must first finish internal medicine residency, then do a 2 yr program for infectious disease doctor. Ask him to SEE his credentials or look them up yourself.

I just want to say that the staff at Sponaugle clinic are absolutely the best. Dr Sponaugle is one of the most capable doctors I’ve never met. He really tries to find the root cause of your problem and digs deep to find answers. Gary my nurse is phenomenal. If I need time for an infusion he is always there and always gets me in. Again I can’t say enough about the staff about about their concerns for their patients.

I had been diagnosed with autoimmune issues and lupus. Dr. Sponaugle diagnosed me with chemical and mold poisoning. After treatment, I feel better than I have in years. My joints no longer constantly ache, I am stronger and my body is healthier than it has been in years. Dr. Sponaugle cares for his patients and treats the most difficult cases. His patients are people who have been to multiple doctors and multiple big name hospitals, seeking answers to their health issues. At Sponaugle Institute, you will receive better care and your case will be studied in detail. They will listen to your concerns and not stop trying to find a solution to your health issues.While undergoing treatment, I watched many people leave the clinic in better health with solutions to their heath problems. I also watched someone arrive in a wheelchair and walk out months later. Dr. Sponaugle looks for the root cause of a problem and uses alternative and traditional medicine to treat his patients. The entire staff is caring and professional. They spend a lot of extra time with patients making sure they are comfortable. My nurse Candy was understanding, knowledgable, and compassionate. She truly cared. I recommend Sponaugle Institute if you are seeking answers to long term health issues other doctors can not solve.

He is a quack and a con artist. He is responsible for the DEATH of Anna Burgess. Google it and you will find a wrongful death lawsuit. He will bankrupt you and leave you in worse condition than you arrived. He preys on desperate people who have tried everything to get better. His “success stories,” are a lie. He gets his desperate patients to film testimonial videos as a trade for additional treatment when they have run out of money. He fires any staff that begin to question the safety of his”treatments.” Physicians at local hospitals report him every time they treat one of his patients for complications they have endured from his program. Somehow he is still practicing because Florida laws are limited on “alternative/wellness medicine. “He is a multimillionaire and I’m sure he will pay to have this post deleted as he has so many others on alternate websites. This man needs to be stopped before he kills someone else.

Please don't fall for this ridiculously overpriced snake oil clinic. I spent a month in the hospital recovering from the damage they did and incurred such serious debt between the clinic and having to be hospitalized that I lost nearly everything.

Quack doctors and fake medicine. You will leave much worse off than when you arrived.

Better care and wayyy better knowledge than mainstream doctors or hospitals. If I have serious problems in the future this is the place I hope to return to.

I have been a practicing cardiologist for 35 years and was the director of a cardiac medicine and surgery ICU for over 30 years in academic medical centers. I have worked with and known hundreds of clinicians during my career, but I have never met anyone with the commitment to patient care, experience, and knowledge of their field comparable to Dr Sponaugle. I brought my son who was terribly sick with mold and Lyme disease after I sat through the consult that a family friend had with him. He is a dedicated clinician with almost unparalleled clinical and diagnostic skills, but it is his willingness to take 4-5 HOURS to meet with each new patient to really understand what is wrong with them, design a treatment plan, and explain it to the patient and family. After that experience I sat through my son's consult which lasted 5 hours and he became less and less responsive due to brain fog-which Dr Sponaugle recognized. At 9:30 at night, with all of his nurses gone, he went to the pharmacy and drew up a syringe of Glutathione and bent down on one knee and injected the amount it took to bring him around. I have never seen anything like it in my entire career. He manages a significant number of very sick patients every day in his clinic, most of whom have been misdiagnosed or inadequately treated at locations around the world-literally, who exhibit many manifestations of the toxicity of these infectious agents and does so with total calm and expertise. He is the consummate doctor's doctor, and I eternally grateful that I found him to help my son recover from these devastating infections. I recommend him to anyone with the greatest confidence and utmost respect and admiration. He is one of a kind.

I got sick 18 months ago and never felt the same afterward. I lost all energy, developed major sleep disorders, and developed brain fog that would make it impossible to concentrate or remember things. Depression and anxiety became very prevalent as well (I could not sit still or relax). Something was very wrong and I went to multiple doctors that ran all the normal tests and could only diagnose "chronic fatigue syndrome" and depression. They sent me to a psychiatrist who tried 6 different SSRI and SNRI's on me, and they only made me worse. I came across Dr. Sponaugle's website after browsing on the internet for things relating to my symptoms. There was a video of a patient who had experienced all the same symptoms as mine and no doctor could help him, for 12 years. Then after coming to the Sponaugle clinic and undergoing 6 months of their treatment for Lyme, mold, and industrial toxicity, he left feeling much better and continued to heal from home. Therefore my wife and I made the decision to come to the clinic. We were told ahead of time that it would get worse before it got better as they would be de-toxing whatever mold and petro toxins my body has developed over the years. (One thing to mention...the extensive testing they do before you arrive is more intricate than any I have ever seen). They also do a PET scan of your brain for further clarity of areas for the doctor to identify infections. Genetic testing is also performed. They explain to you about bio-film and how, once de-tox protocol begins, bio-film is busted open and all kinds of toxins and infections are released into your system, in order to be grabbed by glutathione. The weekly neuro-transmitter tests were very helpful for me because I was able to see why I was dealing with this terrible depression and brain fog (lack of dopamine, norepinephrine, and phenylalynine due to toxins blocking their pathways and disrupting the receptivity of the enzymes). A lot depends on your gut health too, which they monitor closely. Weekly myco-toxin and petro-toxin tests are performed so that you can see which toxins are being busted out of the bio-film regularly. I was assigned a nurse who would triage with me everyday and pay close attention to every symptom I was experiencing. When it comes to personal one-on-one care, my time with my nurse was incredibly therapeutic. They are very big on educating their patients on why they are treating how they are treating. Dr. Sponaugle cares very much about educating his patients on the concept of lyme and mold toxicity, though I was constantly blown away by the way he was able to determine exactly what was happening in my body on any given basis, going by testing. I would say that no Dr. in the country cares more about helping people, and I do mean especially the most complex of cases, than Dr. Sponaugle.

It is interesting that you only see comments with the good ratings. Although many of us have written regarding our bad experiences with this doctor. Left this clinic much worse than started and witnessed many inappropriate behaviors by the doctor. Be very very careful.
