David Joseph's Online Review Report Card

Dr David is the best cardiologist I have seen in the last 12 years. He is caring and never condescending when asked for more explanation. Doctor's staff is ever so helpful. I use medicare with United Heathcare plan N supplement. Once my yearly deductibles are met everything is covered. The office has always promptly returned my calls or taken care of any refills needed for pharmancy. I see no problem with collecting the costs of a potential office visit before services are provided, if a person doesn't have insurance and is going to pay cash out of pocket. This way there are no costly surprises or payment issues after the exam.

Only takes patients with insurance. No out of pocket. Amazing. A doctor only accepts insurance but no money out of pocket. What have we become as a nation. I guess the doctor didn't want to be bothered.

I did not even get a chance to see the doctor. I called on 7.27.2020 @ 12:10 PM for availability as the new patient and the person who answered the phone was very nasty and unprofessional and so I chose not to visit this facility. I will change my rating if I ever get to see this doctor but for now and this is all I have to go by.

I am very happy with the care I have received by Dr. Joseph. He and his staff are extremely committed to patient care, and very helpful and knowledgable. I have seen several cardiologists and Dr. Joseph is the best. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Joseph has been my cardioligist for 15 years. He has guided my coronary care through dozens of office visits, three nuclear stress tests, two angiograms, and a quintuple coronary artery bypass surgery. Without I have found Dr. Joseph to be highly competent and up to date in his specialty, thorough, attentive, and compassionate. At all times I have felt safe and secure while under his care. He is the ideal physician.

I wasn't overly pleased. Went in with palpitations - he literally spent about 2 minutes examining me, felt my ankles, asked a few basic nursing 101 questions and then ordered a stress test. Once before when I went to see him, I was told his office didn't accept credit cards, so I had to walk across the street to the ATM on Lake Mary Blvd (his former office) and withdraw cash! Doesn't seem appropriate, expecting a heart patient to walk across the street and back for money does it? My overall impression was that of the revolving door/cash cow syndrome; spend as little time as possible, order a few tests, and collect the money. You would also expect some kind of follow up like discussion about diet, exercise, keeping cholesterol low, etc., but nothing. In and out, ring the register.
