Sunita Tikku's Online Review Report Card

My fiance came to see SUNITA TIKKU to get some help with anxiety yet all she did was give him medication that caused severe side effects & was based off of his mother's mental health diagnosis! That "psychiatrist" did not listen to one single word he said! Listen, if you want to be misdiagnosed and risk being the subject of malpractice go ahead and come to this location! Otherwise go somewhere else! I'm making sure to tell everybody I know to avoid this so-called psychiatrist like the plague! Next time."Dr Tikku" listen to your patients & don't dismiss them by giving a diagnosis off a patients family history instead of the patient!!

When I first went to Dr. Tikku, I was at a breaking point. Let me back up…. Prior to visiting her, I tried natural and holistic measures for years in my own effort to fix my problems. (Not saying that they are wrong for everyone, just that they didn’t help me). So, after that failed, I started seeing a general practitioner, and the traditional “beginner” medications did not help and gave me side effects I could not deal with. Once I was referred to Dr Tikku for further treatment, she actually listened to me, and started me on a treatment plan. Some medicines did not agree with me and gave me other unwanted side effects, but she continued working with me, assuring me we will get to a better point, sometimes it just takes time and everyone reacts differently to medicines. So with diligence and patience she continued to work with me until we found the right combination that worked with my body. I was also seeing a heart doctor at this time who found a small underlying issue with my heart, but he said if I could manage my stress and anxiety I would see a drastic improvement in my heart issues… So finally after years of suffering with horrible anxiety attacks, heart issues, and migraines, Dr Tikku (and my general practitioner ) found the right combination and I actually felt like me again; the “me” I thought I’d lost and would never see again! Although life situations cannot change overnight, the help from Dr Tikku has drastically changed my quality of life, for the better! I am surprised and disappointed at all the bad reviews she has because my experience has been a very positive one (with her and her kind staff) and I every time I visit Dr Tikku, I make sure to thank her for helping me to get though the most difficult time in my life and I am so so thankful for her efforts to help me get to a normal functioning level again! (I tend to believe that people are quick to write bad reviews, but slow to write the good ones that are much deserved). So to those seeking treatment, please consider my review and have patience, we don’t always get the results we want immediately, and medications react different in every person! So know you are on a journey and you are seeking help because help is needed, so with this in mind, have grace and consider giving her the opportunity to help you, as she has helped me!

My question is, why in the heck is this person even be allowed practice in the position that she is in and why does advent health group even keep her on board? Dr. tikku is nothing but a condensing, unprofessional person with no empathy whatsoever! For the short time that I spent with her on my first visit, she basically told me that all my problems are my fault! That I am responsible for getting screwed by my 2 ex wives because I didn't do my due diligence and research before I married them. How unprofessional to assume this in the first ten minutes of seeing her that she could even come to this conclusion! I then proceeded to tell her that I am somewhat jaded and bitter that my siblings left me holding the bag to take care of my 97 year old mother. Once again it was my own fault that I didn't take the route of my siblings to remove myself and get her out of my life. WHAT THE HELL! Once again how can this uncompassionate person even draw this conclusion on a first visit? As far as I'm concerned she is reckless, dangerous, misguiding, and condescending! I am going to find out who governs the licensing for such a unprofessional individual to be in practice and do everything in my power to have said license revoked. It's pretty damn sad that when an individual goes for help only to be treated in this manner.

Unprofessional and no empathy! I have been going to this establishment for almost a year. Unfortunately, this one day the psychiatrist was late and totally unprofessional because I had a few questions and concerns about inaccurate information in my chart. Ex. My weight, my diagnosis and the wrong meds she prescribed me and denied even ordering the meds when I asked her about it. I usually don’t ask for a lot but I asked the doctor about something particularly which I thought it might be able to help with my health. She totally flipped on me and yelled at me after her asking me which meds I preferred and I told her. Despite being totally calm and respectful towards her, she accuse me of being augmentative. I was even asked by her if I thought I was a doctor and why I should see her? With all due respect, I told her I was seeking help and I didn't claim to be a doctor, but I'm aware of the way my body feels and what hasn't worked in the past. My attempt was to tell her I was coming for help. As if I was nothing, she talked to me like I was nothing. My feeling of insignificance was overwhelming. I told her thank you for her time and walked out before I burst out in tears.In order to protect my mental health, I have chosen not to return to this establishment.

Rude & unprofessional There is so much wrong with this provider that I don't know where to start. Not only does this provider manipulate reviews, they also don't record office visits and their billing practices are shady. The provider is rude, condescending and has a poor attitude and demenor. Advent Health has never returned my calls or emails regarding my negative and unprofessional experience with this provider. I absolutely do not recommend this provider.

How this lady still has a medical license is beyond my understanding. My experience was just like all the other one star reviews. I was sent to her by another doctor for clearance to have a medical procedure. Within 2 minutes she diagnosed me with "bipolar" then chased me out of her office along with the male "office manager." They also billed my copay to a private office operating out of Oviedo. When I researched the office name on the credit card transaction, there was a photo of the male office manager. I requested my records for this visit from Advent Health and there were none. Disputed the copay with my credit card and then this office sent me a certified letter stating not to return. Stay far away from this woman and the fraudulent billing of the male office manager. I've tried to resolve this with Advent Health but just get run around in circles. Do better Advent Health. This woman is a danger to society.

In 55 years I’ve never truly understood by diagnosis until I sat with Dr. Tikku for 1 hour. She’s the BEST!!!

No stars She doesn't care. You show up on time and wait for over an hour. She talks to you for 5 minutes, maybe. Not everyone seeing a shrink or any doctor, is looking for pills. She doesn't care. Stay away

Just switched doctors, and she is amazing. The staff are incredible too. A++.
