Syed Ahmed's Online Review Report Card

Doctor Ahmed has been my doctor for well over 20 yrs +. He truly is the best doctor or I wouldn't be with him. I can't say enough about him, compassionate, knowledge, intelligent, so many qualities. I love the fact that he's not quick to place you on medication but wants to find out the correct cause of the problem and then treat the problem appropriately. I highly recommend him. I don't consider him my doctor but family!!!!!!

When you try to leave a message for Dr Ahmed's staff on voice mail, it says it's not a monitored voice mail (what!), so then you press zero to get a front office lady that has a lack of customer service and compassion for patients, which comes through the phone. (This person I am referring to is not Barbara, who is wonderful).

I recently switched primary after hearing high rating of Dr Ahmed. I called two weeks before my appt to make sure they request all medical records from my other primary as well as all labs and other specialist I had seen. Including Halifax. My very first visit I even brought a my own folder of records . The lady nurse didn’t care to look.still not sure what that first visit was for but I did have some pain in my side and she touched it and it hurt so she said I should drink more water. I was in such pain thaf next morning and was admitted in hospital for a big kidney stone. After 3 days I had another appointment . I asked the next nurse (PA)Andria Mcintosh . The only thing they knew about me was my hospital stay. I told Mcintosh I was out of meds and she said which ones do you need? I said idk you tell me your the dr but probably the antibiotic would be best. Next day she calls Ans says she talked to doctor and he said to for her to call in antibiotics . I reminded her of our previous conversation the day before and she said no thst conversation never happened! They also sent it to the wrong pharmacy. I can never get anyone on the phone to call me back and when they do they are oblivious to what is going on. I asked one of the staff when do I get to see Dr Ahmed and was told not until after 3rd visit. I’m going back into surgery in two days and I doubt they even remember me telling them. The office staff is a joke. I even pulled up my quest results for Mcintosh who could care less!

I can’t give review yet because yesterday was my first visit with Riley? I went over med history and asked have they requested any records yet. My primary should have no problem sending it. I told (Riley) my blood work showed abnormalities even telling her if I could pull up quest I would show her not able to do that. I told her I had a bad episode of pain that morning of visit. She pressed my right side and I told her it felt tender. She advised me to drink water. It’s been 24 hours and now I’m in hospital being scheduled for surgery. My next dr visit will be with (Rebecca) before I actually get to see Dr Ahmed . He comes highly recommended. My only negative report is the long wait on the phone. 15 min u would think someone could answer. Keeping my fingers crossed

He is not my doctor, but my MIL's. It took a full month for his office staff to fax over important paperwork to the assisted living facility that he insisted she be put into!! Extremely frustrating not only for my MIL who needed this paperwork so that the facility could administer her meds but also for the family who all live out state and trying to deal with this.

The worst Dr I ever had. Would not recommend to anyone. I have serious medical issues, he promised to do short term disability paper work, I brought in numerous supporting docs in Oct, many phone calls, office visits, he kept saying he will do he never did. He flat out lies, said he did it, I asked for a copy and nowhere to be found, they said they lost it. I went to 1 of my specialist they did it with no problem. My issues still going on in Jan. & needed an extension, brought in more supporting docs, He would not do the paperwork & said to get a new primary dr. I could have lost my job & benefits because he would not help me & look after me. The worst Dr I ever had.

Dr Ahmed has been my doctor since the 1990's. He is patient, kind and thorough. My thyroid, for example is finally operating as it should after years of different doctors and partial treatments. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a quality doctor!

He’s very compassionate. Takes time to listen to your concerns. He listens to your input about your health. Ease to get an appointment when needed

Dr. Ahmed is easily the best doctor we have had in 40+ years; he takes the time needed, explains everything thoroughly and is very pleasant and professional.
