I usually don’t write reviews, but I had to for Dr. Downer at Clay Eye. I had surgery in both eyes and Dr. Downer was amazing!! I am what he calls one of his pediatric patients and having cataract at young age on both eyes(lol). I had two procedures done cataract surgery and added Toric lens in my eyes. He is amazing would recommend Dr. Downer to everyone.Wirds can’t describe how fabulous he is.

They said he was the best at helping young people with old people sickness, he did not disappoint he was fast and professional. I can't explain how good it is to see, again but yeah this man gave me that back! Thanks Doc.

Dr. Downer has been treating my Glaucoma for 4 years. He is professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. My disease has been carefully supervised and has not progressed.

I had surgery done there a year ago by Dr. Downer - a total regret. He was arrogant and the surgery actually made my condition worse, although he said it would cure the problem. The procedure and post-procedure were very painful, although he promised I'd only "be uncomfortable" for a few hours. It lasted weeks and the end result was my eyesight is worse. Now after almost a year they have the cojones to send me another bill even though I had already paid all my deductibles and co-pays on time.

I scheduled an appointment for today; yesterday, my wife called to confirm it. I arrive, only to be told that I would be seeing another physician, one I've never seen before. After waiting 30 minutes past my scheduled appointment time, I was told that the other physician would not refill a prescription that Dr. Downer has prescribed for several years. My trip was a complete waste of time. Needless to say, I will find another physician.

Dr. Downer was extremely professional, informative and helpful. He performed a pterygium removal surgery on my left eye. The facility was clean and well run. The surgery went off without a hitch and the recovery was made much easier by Dr. Downer. I would recommend him to anyone with issues with their eyes and anyone needing eye surgery. Very satisfied with his work.

New to this practice and I have seen Dr. Downer several times and am very happy with his professionalism and explaining things so I can understand them.

Dr. Downer and the practice, is efficient and knowledgeable and is the only place to go for any eye related issues. I had dry eye, and before jumping to the prescription treatment, he recommended the OTC drops and then evaluated two weeks later. I needed the plugs and the script, but he is fast and knows his stuff. I would recommend for any procedures.

I loved Dr. Downer. First, my vision in my right eye was almost none. He gave me a cornea transplant and the next day my vision was already improving. My family was so surprised when I started reading captions off the TV screen. He is very professional, very caring, easy to get along with and seems to be very concerned with my well-being. I was referred by my personal dr. and I can understand why. He was just right for me in every way. I am so very happy with my experience.

I think Dr Downer is awesome. He has helped me so much with all my eye problems. He has a great personality and I just sent my daughter to him. I would recommend him highly.
