Dr joshi is awesome. He listens and makes you feel good
My experience for my first visit was outstanding. Dr. Joshi took the time to explain everything to me about my mental disorders. He took time to listen to me. Being in my 50's, I expressed I didn't want to be over medicated, but needed to control my anxiety. Dr. Joshi took the time to explain the different medications and what would work best for me. I felt relieved Doctor Joshi only wanted the best for me.
A real quack job.
The worst first appointment with a psychiatrist, ever. I called Psychiatric Associates with the understanding I was going to see Dr. Larsen. I was later notified that I was to see Dr. Joshi. Although disappointed, I decided to see Dr. Joshi. I was changing doctors because I am tired of not being listened to by someone I am trusting with my life and my happiness and who is prescribing medicine that is going in my body. Well, no luck here either. I went to my initial assessment and left in tears. Dr. Joshi made me feel as if I was the scum of the earth because of a PAST drug history (admittedly brief and dumb) that I told him about, so there would be no confusion about my purposes in seeing a new psychiatrist. I walked out of his office before the appointment was even over. He stated there was a whole category of medications he would not prescribe to me because of my history. I am trusting that these doctors have our best interests in mind, but excluding an entire class of medications limits a persons ability to get better. I DID NOT like how he 1. did not listen, 2. stereotyped me, and 3. judged me. If you are looking for a psychiatrist to treat you like a person and not a disease, DO NOT USE DR. JOSHI. I was not a person, but a statistic. Not a personality, but a disease. I am a sick person trying to get well; not a criminal looking for a quick "fix". If that was the case, I wouldn't be spending so much money seeking professional help. IF YOU MAKE AN APPOINTMENT- MAKE SURE YOU ASK FOR DR. LARSEN. I have never seen him personally, but ANYONE would be better than Dr. Joshi.
Personality a bit quirky but very helpful and knowledgable
This man tried to put me on every medication known to man. My last visit did it for me. He had my file in front of him and he could not even remember who I was or what he was treating me for. When he asked me that I got up and walked out of his office. I would not recommend him to anyone.
I appreciate Dr. Yoshi. Easy to talk to.
I left his office before our appointment was even over. He is extremely judgmental and sometimes, just plain rude. He listened to nothing I had to say. I would not recommend him to anyone who wants to actually get better.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
