Akilah De Aza's Online Review Report Card

Dr. DeAza is the greatest doctor I have ever encountered. She now has a private practice in Oviedo. I took my parents to her and they were extremely impressed with the care they received. No other Dr. can compare to how she genuinely cares about her patients. I would recommend Dr. DeAza to anyone.

Dr. Aza is such a kind and patient doctor. She listens to my concerns and addresses them. She is amazing at what she does and has been incredibly helpful and beneficial with my health. She communicates well and takes the time to explains things that I may not understand.

Doctor De Aza is beyond what a doctor should be. I was under doctor De Aza's care in Lake Nona, and have followed her to her private practice in Oviedo. She is one of kind and I am extremely grateful for her care.

After 13 years with my GP, I was looking for a doctor who had more of newer approach to medicine as well as coaching on pain management and helping rule out other concerns. I called the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville to see if any of their doctors were practicing in central Florida because I wanted to make sure I found the best doctor. I must say Dr. De Aza has been a blessing and a great experience for me and more than I can ever expect from my GP/PCP. I highly recommend her to anyone whose looking for compassion, empathy, care and the most thorough GP I’ve ever worked with. Dr. Aza was attentive, but held me accountable for following up. She takes excellent notes and refers to them during each appointment.

Dr. De Aza is highly missed! She was great with me in all aspects. She was very professional, to the point, and always found ways to help. She would remember personal things I would talk about from months before and really would make the visit comforting. Same goes with her medical assistant at the time! It used to be a pleasure going for the dr visit! I hope all is great!

My father and mother are patients of Dr. De Aza and they are currently in the process of finding a new PCP given - shocker Dr. De Aza is no longer part of the practice. She is extremely dismissive and does not care to have any kind of one-on-one relationship with patients. My father was recently diagnosed with Diabetes, suffers high blood pressure and chronic heart disease. His annual lab results came back with concerning numbers and no one communicated with him. I was able to get him on his online portal to review his results and send the doctor questions regarding his results. When asked why no one contacted him regarding his lab results, he was referred to look at the online portal where everything is posted. Where is the human element? Not everyone is digitally inclined. Furthermore when he goes in for visits the doctor refuses to spend more than 10-15 with the patient and only addresses one concern. She states that if he needs to address any other question to make another appointment. He expressed his discontent and she very blatantly said “well this is a conveyer belt and we can only spend so much time with you.” While we understand there are external things at play here and that Dr. De Aza is likely overworked and overbooked - this should not come at the expense of at par patient care. This is the health and well-being of individuals. Needless to say, both my parents are transferring out of her care and this practice ASAP.

Dr. DeAza is an amazing doctor. She takes her time to listen and works together with you to come up with a health plan. I highly recommend her.
