List of Amelia Thompson's Reviews
I will never forget the day I met Dr. Thompson. My daughter was inpatient and it was our worst hospital experience to date. My daughter had several issues going on all at once. It seemed as if every body system was affected and she was getting worse and worse. No one seemed to care and I felt absolutely helpless as I watched my daughter deteriorate. After three days of nonsense I couldn't take it anymore and I started complaining and getting very vocal with my concerns. Long story short, I finally got one of the doctors to listen to me and they started ordering more tests and taking my concerns seriously. One of the tests mentioned the possibility of a rare fungal infection. This is when they brought in Dr. Thompson. Dr. Thompson was literally an answer to prayers. She took so much time with us. She listened, really listened, to EVERYTHING I had to say. She took the most detailed medical history I have ever given. My daughter is rather complex so it wasn't a short story. Never once did she make me feel rushed. She was actively listening like I have never seen from a doctor. She wanted to know everything there was to know about my daughter. After all the talking she did a very thorough exam of my daughter. She had a plan which we discussed in great detail. She answered all my questions, there were many. I felt 1000x better after meeting Dr. Thompson. After a week inpatient we finally got discharged home with instructions to follow up with Dr. Thompson. It took several weeks to get the results back for my daughter and they confirmed this suspicion of a rare fungal infection. Seeing Dr. Thompson in her office was always a pleasure. Her staff greeted us by name. The office is impeccable and they are great about hand hygiene and infection control measures. My daughter spends a lot of time at drs and has developed a real fear of Dr offices. She isn't the easiest child to deal with and is known to scream and freak at out every little thing like getting on the scale or taking her BP. One thing that always helps relax her is singing. The staff would join in on the singing to help her calm down. They never rushed her and would take the time to get eye level and talk to her. Kiara, sorry if I misspelled your name, was her MA. She always took great care of us. She had excellent communication skills and would always join in on singing to help calm my daughter. Plus she always brought us stickers which makes every kid so happy. Dr. Thompson was always so punctual. She never left us waiting in the exam room for long. She would interact with my daughter and talk to her before just jumping in to examine her. She continued to be a great listener who truly wanted to hear what I had to say. She always came into the room prepared for us. Some docs come in like they've never met you or can't remember what happened at your last visit. Not Dr. Thompson. She explains everything and answers all your questions. She always has a copy of your results printed out for you and she types up everything that happened during the appt so you don't forget anything that was discussed. If any issue arises she addresses it immediately. I literally have nothing but amazing things to say about Dr. Thompson and her team. It was an emotional visit when we received the good news that my daughters infection was clear after months of treatment. I was so happy but part of me was sad that we no longer had a reason to see Dr. Thompson anymore. I will never forget Dr. Thompson and she will always hold a special place in my heart.
Excellent doctor and I trust for 13 years

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
