List of Boutique Eye Orlando's Reviews
I want to preface this review by saying that I had visited this location multiple times before and never experienced any issues. For a while, I had been putting off buying new frames because it takes time to find the “perfect” pair for my face. I finally decided to make time for it and went to Eye Boutique because they had helped me in the past and have a great selection of frames. When I walked in, the lights in the frame showroom were off. The receptionist was very nice. She asked me to give her a moment to get the optical manager and turned on the lights so I could look around. However, every display case was locked, so an employee with a key had to assist whenever I wanted to try on a frame. The manager came over, recognized me, and exchanged pleasantries with me before we began discussing frames. I did not have a particular style in mind, but I explained that I wanted to find a nice pair for work. She began handing me frames from a drawer. They were fine, but I wanted to look around and see how some of the other options fit. We started making a small pile of possibilities. After she handed me a few frames, I explained that I would feel more comfortable looking around and selecting frames that I thought might work for me. I went to the first display case, found something I wanted to try, and she unlocked it for me. I returned that frame and selected another, which she also had to unlock. Then I chose another, and she had to unlock the case again. Throughout this process, she stood next to me and seemed increasingly standoffish. After several minutes, she told me that the glasses I was selecting were all very similar and that I should simply choose one because they were all good options. Choosing eyeglass frames is a very personal decision, and I had never experienced someone trying to rush or pressure me into selecting a pair. It felt as though she was becoming impatient and simply wanted me to leave. I told her that this was her opinion and that, during my previous visit, I had been allowed to look through many different frames and make the decision for myself. I explained that I did not know what had changed, but it no longer seemed as though she was open to letting me do that or interested in helping me. After a pause, she responded, “Yes, but you have good frames right here.” At that point, I realized that I felt judged, rushed, and uncomfortable. I wished her a good day and left. As I walked to my car, I felt frustrated, sad, and disappointed. I had been looking forward to finding a new pair of frames and believed they would be able to help me because they had been so helpful in the past. After getting into my car, I looked in the rearview mirror and saw the manager standing at the door and looking outside. I decided to go back in and explain why I was disappointed because I felt that she should understand how the interaction had affected me. However, while standing at the door, she locked it, preventing anyone from entering. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this location. I ultimately went to SEE Eyewear in Winter Park, where the staff members were kind, patient, and extremely helpful. They allowed me to try on as many frames as I wanted. Nothing was locked, I never felt judged or rushed, and I genuinely had a fun experience. I wish I could have had that same experience at Eye Boutique. The only reason I am giving two stars instead of one is that the receptionist was pleasant.
Service was satisfactory. My glasses were supposed to have UV protection on them, which was left off. I was informed that they could send them back in, but I declined. I live in Winter Park and the office is out of the way.
Hi, I was a patient of Dr. Haas and I was trying to make appointment with the surgery coordinator for procedure that needs to be done. I’ve left four messages for four days and no one never returned my call. I thought that was unprofessional and today was just unacceptable. I spoke with the surgery coordinator and I was explaining to her. The Insurance Company stated I need to send a form over as I was talking. I could hear her typing and then she just released the call and never called back and this happened twice before she was very rude and not professional at all so I’m just gonna call my eye doctor that referred me there to look for another specialist. I will not go to this office. His staff is not a good staff. You need to rehire a whole Staff.
I was disappointed with my experience contacting this eye clinic. I had several basic questions regarding services and scheduling, but the receptionist who answered the phone was unable to provide answers and repeatedly stated she was “not sure.” I was told that the staff member who could answer my questions was out of the office, leaving me without any assistance or guidance. While I understand that not every employee may have all the answers, I would expect a medical office to have someone available who can address basic patient inquiries or, at minimum, offer a clear follow-up plan. Unfortunately, neither was provided. The lack of information and professionalism made the interaction frustrating and unhelpful. I hope the clinic improves staff training and communication so future patients can receive the support they need when calling with questions.
My experience has been profoundly professional, kind, and empathetic. Dr. Hass is extremely knowledgeable and confident in his implementation of dry eye treatment especially for Sjorens parents. I am so thankful I found a provider that truly listens and cares. His staff is also very nice and respectful. Wishing Dr. Hass and his team a wonderful and safe holiday season ☺️
I’ve tried contacting the office via email several times over the last month and a half and no one has responded. Giving up now
A standard but good experience.
My journey with Boutique Eye Orlando started a year ago. Dr Haas provided a diagnosis of onset glaucoma, which can be corrected with laser, both to my surprise and insurance would cover!! More great news, Dr Haas went further to inform me that I would be a candidate for corrective laser eye surgery, as I have an astigmatism in eye, so laser was not an option prior. This was incredible news, as I have worn glasses for 55yrs, this news is welcomed and looking to looking forward! Eager to have addressed, insurance was covering 1st part, though I would need to apply for credit or come out of pocket for the difference. I applied with their recommended lender. I was informed that finance was declined and asked to speak with someone regarding as I am in the financial business and request reason for decline. NO RESPONSE... There we are then...allocated my time and energy of others to be at surgery for astigmatism, however I was not notified it had been canceled and was unaware that this was predicated on 'cash grab' for corrective eye surgery. In short, when I didn't have the cash to pay for additional, above and beyond, the initial diagnosis glaucoma and what would have been covered by insurance was sadly dismissed. I was told I could fill be glasses prescription. Now, a year later. I stopped in, as I love locally to see what frames and glass options may be available and assisted to perfection, as well as actually finding a frame that I like. My excitement built, though not to the extent of being informed that eye surgery is available to correct both vision and glaucoma but actually finding a pair of frames that fit and comfortable. Success!!.....or is it? Amex in hand and ready to take payment, I asked about previous glaucoma diagnosis, and since their office chose to cancel ...IS THERE ANYTHING I SHOULD BE AWARE OF? To which I was responded that I am due for another eye exam($$). I proceeded to put my Amex back in the old bill fold, as I realized 😳...Eye Boutique Orlando is getting ready to charge my card for new glasses($$)....also eager to make an eye appointment which will likely end up in NEW GLASSES(+$$$). Sadly, a recommendation of eye exam prior to new prescription would have sufficed and likely moved on without a thought, and the rest would have been 'water under the bridge' However, I left feeling very disappointed AGAIN with Eye Boutique Orlando. I had hoped there was a concern with vision going forward, unfortunately, the clarity does not seem to exist and welcome taking your money!!
I have been seeing Dr. Haas for a few years. My regular ophthalmologist referred me to him as he was at a dead end with the treatment of my serious eye conditions and subsequent eye surgeries. Dr. Haas and his staff have helped my eyes immensely. I highly recommend him. He is worth the drive!
My first encounter with Boutique Eye Orlando was for Oculoplasty, which I am VERY HAPPY with the result! One day when I was in the waiting room I noticed an advertisement for the Neo Sculpt device. I decided I’d like to try it to help smooth and tone areas that diet and exercise alone are difficult to target. I am SO HAPPY with the results!! And Dr. Haas and his staff are AMAZING. If I could give a million stars on the review, I would :)
