Nice doctor who listens and doesn't seem to want to recreate the wheel. I had a doctor in Naples who went through all the necessary tests for my asthma, we tried a lot of different products and found one that works the best for me. When I try to go to a doctor here in Orlando, they try to do something else and don't listen. I am glad to have found Dr. Hornberger who listens and doesn't ring up the bill doing unnecessary tests. It is not easy to find doctors who listen and truly care. Also, the nurse that I saw was super sweet and caring.
Very impressed with this office. From the beginning the medical receptionist is fast and efficient. Janae is caring and gentle like you might find in a pediatric nurse. Dr. H listens and communicates with a sensitivity that allows you to feel you are communicating with a friend. Overall his genuine caring nature transfers through his staff. You leave feeling heard and well-informed. Highly recommend Dr. H. and his staff!
One of few doctors who actually listens to you! He tought my rash wasn't allergy related (and all testing was negative), he managed my care as I had seen several local dermatologists with absolutely NO help. Since they insisted it was because of a medication allergy, even though I had not taken any medications for months, I went to Dr. Hornberger. The first medication he prescribed worked, finally after over a year of intense itching 24/7. I eventually did go to a major research clinic where my rash WAS diagnosed as dermatology related, not allergy.
A friend of mine just asked me if I could recommend an allergist. My response: "Dr. Hornberger!" He always listened to what I had to say, took his time with me and definitely knows his stuff. One thing that particularly stands out for me was when I first started going there and inquired about having guinea pig serum included in my allergy shots. The practice I was previously at said they wouldn't do it because it wasn't cost-effective for them since I was the only one that wanted it. I worked closely with animals at the time, so this was very important to me. I explained what had happened at the previous allergists' office and he said it would not be a problem here. If it was important to me to have guinea pig serum, he'd get it for me! It has been several years since I have seen him because we moved out-of-state but we are hoping to move back this year. Looking forward to being a patient of his again!
I see Dr Hornberger and have recommended him to friends. He is one of if not the best doctor I have seen. His staff is courteous and friendly. I have waited a few times to see him but when I finally did see him he spent time with me. I bet the "waste of money and time" reviewer was more upset about paying than about time. That kind of review is not helpful to people trying to find a doctor. I would ignore that one.
I have some mysterious idiopathic allergic reaction in my hands and feet that has affected me for years. I don't know what causes it to swell and itch. My husband found him because he was under our insurance provider. I saw him twice. The first time they did a standard allergy test procedure, then he came in and asked me lifestyle questions and the allergic reaction problems I've been having. He gave me some pointers and told me to come back in two weeks. I went back. He asked the same questions as if he never saw me before, and he had no clue how to help me. I was the one who suggested that maybe I should see a dermatologist for answers. He was like: "Yeah, yeah, that sounds good. I hope they can help."He was a joke.I was very disappointed. He was the first and last allergist I ever want to see.The dermatologist was awesome, though! I didn't take his referral, my husband and I found a really good one and they helped a lot!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
