Stayed here and when I got here they denied us a bed for over 8 HOURS. They yelled at my friend for asking for one, and were very unprofessional at best. Would go here again but only for the friendly people.
This is not a therapeutic environment. Stay away this is just a holding cell. And the discharge planning is even worse. The nurses obviously hate their jobs. I will say that the techs were lovely. It made it bearable but I have no aftercare still weeks later I'm struggling to find a therapist. This should not have happened. I've called back for help and Haley the discharge planner says it's too late. I'm discharged. Well F U too Haley
So uh I just left this place today and I would give it a five stars like literally you should be able to have a good time as long as YOU yourself don’t act out , it all depends on the person if you act out ofc you ain’t gonna like the place, but that’s just me, I had a good experience
If you’re looking for a placement for your teenager and don’t expect updates, communication, action, etc, this is the place for you. Our experience at admission should’ve been a clue but when you’re struggling to find help, you overlook a lot. Kudos to the two female staff members working with a screaming 8 year old girl as one said to her, “If you bite me, you’re going to bite yourself.” Such compassion.
I got food poisoning when I was baker acted here. They keep the children with anger issues and the children with clinical depression and suicidal tendencies TOGETHER. Very bad mix. I was there for a suicide attempt, I am sensitive to loud sounds, arguments and just being around anger. I was scared while I was there. Plus it was dirty, we visited the doctor via five minutes a day on an iPad, and there was no type of music therapy, art therapy, you couldn’t bring in plushies… what are kids supposed to do to cope? Awful place.
i was baker acted here 4 or 5 years ago and i literally have PTSD from the 5 days i was there
Excellent staff. Should give some advise to lakeside Behevioral hospital. Too complicate to got records. New review; Not as good like few years ago. Extremely hard to talk any doctors. Always wait till Insurance run out to release patients. Units almost impossible to contact the nurses . Really bad.
I was admitted here as a 13 year old and the experience could not have been more haunting. There were several occasions where I had been bullied and it could have been avoided with more staff. The facility only splits up patients by age 18+ and patients below the age of 18. There were many times that we had both 17 year olds and children as young as 8 years old sharing the same common quarters, at one point I was assaulted by a 17 year old almost twice my size. During my time, I witnessed staff jump at the opportunity to administer Thoraxin to young children and teenagers, staff would never make sure a patients medication was actually ingested. A very scary experience for anyone, let alone the preadolescent children who I had seen be admitted during my time. It has been 10 years and I remain convinced that the place messed me up more that helped.
The last place you'd expect to have uncaring and incompetent staff is a mental facility. Seriously if you have another option take it. Only exception was Ross that man is awesome.
I've definitely been in worse facilities. There are views of SeaWorld which is pretty cool. Sometimes there was outside time. There was a TV and some activities like puzzles, crosswords, coloring books ect. There was also always snacks and access to an ice machine. I wasn't a fan of the food though. I didn't like having to fight to use my own bathing products though nor did I enjoy having to battle the doctors to get all of my prescribed medications at the proper dosage. Medical care is minimum there and they won't get you help unless it's considered and emergency situation. But the staff were good people. And inwas also in there with some amazing patients. There were certain people in there including staff members who made being in there more bearable. And group therapy wasn't so bad.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
