List of Daniel Layish's Reviews
I have been a patient for years but it's time I change doctors. Even though you wait months to see him.... You simply won't be able to. The office called me today to reschedule AGAIN for sometime in March 2023 when my appointment was set for Jan 5th 2023. This is the third time with rescheduling for my follow up for a sleep study done on July 15th 2022. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. why would patients have to wait almost a year for a follow up. Time to change doctors and just wanted to let new patients know this before going through the hassle themselves. UPDATE: just talked to my mother the day after writing this review and she's been a patient for longer than I have and they are doing the exact same thing to her. Rescheduled her three times now for months out each time. She's holding out though because she wants to inform the doctor of this if she's EVER face to face with him about this issue. I, on the other hand, on the search for a new doctor.
Dr. Layish is one of the most fantastic doctors you could go to. He has wonderful bedside manner, is a good listener, and is determined to do what it takes to take care of his patients.
I’ve seen Dr. Layish for many years. He has also referred me to other specialists when he discovers an issue that concerns him but is not in his field. He listens, cares and carefully considers a treatment plan. I feel he values people and wants the best for them.
I have been a patient of Dr.Layish for many, many years. He is a caring, knowledgeable physician. HOWEVER, I have not been able to see him for my last two appointments. I have a serious breathing problem which needs to be treated. I left the office both times after waiting 2 1/2 HOURS after my scheduled appointment! The equipment necessary to perform a test was broken and unavailable at BOTH appointments. Late is 45 minutes or even an hour! 2 1/2 hours is a pattern of over booking and poor scheduling. I can no longer trust my care to Dr. Layish and must now find another pulmonologist to treat my worsening breathing problems.
Dr. Layish....is very attentive and productive at the same time. Asks vital questions in regard to situation, goes further then standard......i respect that in him. That gives me hope in him to continue with our relationship. My daughter was with me as well. I am a person that if i do not have good response for my health or collaboration with tests or other doctors..i will leave there practice immediately. For i matter.....as a patient. Dr. Layish is great so far. I really like his work. Excellent thus far. Greatly appreciated-Lorelei
Dr. Layish and his team provide absolutely THE BEST patient care of any physician in Florida. This doctor and his team are on par, if not above the TOP physicians in the country. My husband has a number of health issues, and we've been to the top hospitals in Denver, Switzerland, and Philadelphia and can say Dr. Layish is exceptional. Some things that sets Dr. Layish apart, is that he takes into consideration the WHOLE patient. He is extremely thorough in that regard. My husband has immune disorder, due to required medication prescribed by a rheumatologist. Dr. Layish was concerned by my husbands immune issues and COVID. So he asked his nurse Ann Dowdell to find a licensed facility for the Monoclonal Antibody injections, (when our other doctors didn't). Ann worked dillegently to find a solution and made us feel that we were her only patient, very kind and professional and by communicating closely with us. This was above and beyond the sleep apnea my husband saw him for. Being a Pulmonogist, Dr. Layish saw first hand the devastation of COVID. I know that I will sleep better at night knowing my husband has the extra protection. He's also my doctor, for sleep apnea. He's fixed both our apnea issues. You would be hard pressed to find better care. We love him!! We Dr. Layish by a referral from a neighbor who had very serious lung issues with COPD. She told me that Dr. Layish saved her life. You may have to wait to see him--- he's well worth the wait.
The best person and doctor I have ever had the privilege to know. He truly cares about his patients and is very passionate about Cystic Fibrosis. He's one in a million. I was in the waiting room one day and for some reason this woman started to tell me about her rare lung condition and how Dr. Layish was the only pulmonologist in the country that could help her. She moved from Oregon to Orlando and the doctors in Oregon hadn't given her a good prognosis. She said, " If it wasn't for Dr. Layish I would have been dead a long time ago."
Fantastic Dr. Would recommend to anyone with pulmonary or sleep apnea
Kept on rescheduling and changing location. AVOID!
Dr. Layish truly cares about his patients. My husband and I both see him. I'm a simple case, but my husband has a brain injury and other health issues and is a complex case. He not only treats his sleep apnea, but has been helpful in recommending other specialists for both of us. When my husband was suffering from RA and his existing doctor was not ordering the x-rays he should of, Dr. Layish ordered the x-rays and found us a more engaged doctor. This referral made a huge difference in my husband's RA and I'm happy to say, he's now in remission. My neighbor who has serious lung issues, is the one that originally referred me to him. She also loves Dr. Layish. In fact, while we were waiting in the office last visit, everyone there was saying that Layish is their best doctor. Ok, you typically have to wait, but Dr. Layish is well worth the wait. He takes the time each patient needs. He's terrific!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
