Review Summary
Lake Baldwin VA Clinic received 69.9% positive feedback, with patients praising the caring staff, excellent medical care, and the high-quality service. However, 30.1% of the feedback was negative, primarily citing long wait times, poor phone communication, and rude staff. Overall, the clinic excels in providing professional healthcare, yet it needs better phone systems and reduced wait times.ScoreDoc Score

Does anyone answer phones at VA facilities?! You can't even make an appointment because you can never talk to someone. Sad.
You have to have an appointment. Sometimes you can do a walk-in but it council monkeys it depends on which are there for
This is the longest we’ve ever been at the VA. We arrived at 8 o’clock and are leaving now. Either way we knew it was a walk in appointment and there were plenty of people ahead of us when we signed in. It was entertaining to say the least. Terrence was so efficient, knowledgeable and got it done. Now we wait and see. Definitely another great experience at the clinic. A huge thank you to Anthony that helped us out last week and told us about today. These two gentlemen are both Rockstars. I can’t believe how many service connected disability’s our veterans have. God bless our veterans for everything they do and have done. Just a little tip just in case you don’t know. When you arrive on Fridays for the disability rating walk in appointments they tell you to arrive by 8 o’clock. I suggest you arrive earlier than that. They are busy and they have one person taking care of all of the veterans. Be patient and bring your DD 214 form.
I recently retired from the US Air Force after 20 plus years of service. I was told once I retired, the VA medical world would be a difficult one to navigate and the appointments would be difficult to get. I'd like to recognize and thank the following Lake Baldwin VA Clinic members as a new enrollee. Dr. Bigner (Orange Team) Jessica (Orange Team) Antonio (Lab) Brian (Dental) Dr. Thai (Dental) Gina (Dental) Gabe (OT) I've been to the Lake Baldwin VA clinic twice now. First, Dr. Bigner on Team Orange is one of the BEST physicians I've ever seen. From Flight Surgeons, to specialists, she is by far one of the most thorough, approachable, and caring docs. She takes detailed notes, allowing me (the patient) to not guess what was discussed and have a path forward to check on my progress. Dr. Bigner put in requests for other sections in the clinic to include dental. I received calls from those specialities within a week and have already been to my appointment within 2 weeks of being seen by Dr. Bigner. I couldn't be happier to have Dr. Bigner as my PCM and I hope leadership reads this review. Please thank and keep Dr. Bigner on the team...I'm positive this isn't the first time a patient (Service member) has spoken highly of her. In the event a VA leader is taking the time to look through reviews. Having a doc like Dr. Bigner on staff affects more than me. It affects my family, my physical and mental health. She is exactly what I hope other clinics are providing service members as we transition into a new way of life. Thank you Dr. Bigner, for caring and being a part of my goal to live a long and healthy life. Thank you Brian (fellow Rangers fan), Dr. Thai (USN brother), Gina (best dental hygienist), Gabe (great exercises/tools), Jessica (thorough intake/VA education), Antonio (a true pro/great music). To all the staff, front desk crew and those who call to schedule our appointments, THANK YOU for YOUR service! Blue Skies!
Terrible VA. Not the worst I havr ever been in ....that's a tie between Augusta GA and Corpus Christie TX however I have had some terrible experiences here and you can count on being there all day. When I went through the lunch line they even asked me to open my container to make sure I hadn't stolen anything. I noticed she hadn't asked anyone else to and since she is black and I was white I am sure it was a racist thing which is crazy because its always a black person I see as thieves. It's a shame you fight for your country and end up being treated like a criminal at the VA.
THE PHONE SYSTEM IS A NIGHTMARE! NOBODY ANSWERS. YOU END UP IN AN ENDLESS LOOP. Seriously, making a stupid PHONE CALL to a multi-billion dollar funded federal agency should not invoke dread and rage. I have always given VA Lk Baldwin good reviews. My experience with treatment, doctors, and staff has always been generally positive. But if I can't make a simple phone call.....what the hell!?!?
Worst place I have ever encountered ! Everyone is incompetent !
Ms. Dorothy in the enrollment office was delightful 😊 I love this facility. It was my first time at the VA.
Been on the phone for like an hour trying to get my clinic transferred over. Seems like nobody mans the phones. I guess I’ll just have to gather up every piece of documentation I could possibly need and drive an hour to go see them in person. Fingers crossed they’re easier to work with in person than they are over the phone.
I worked for Braswell Electric, we did Lake Nona Hospital, I worked on the low voltage systems ( Nurse Call, Fiber Optic Systems, Security, CCTV and Access Control System)

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
