David B. Yaeger's Online Review Report Card

DO NOT SEE THIS “DOCTOR” - Dr. Yeager should not practice medicine. He did a brief examination of our twin girls and was nervous they were jaundice. The medical test was fine but his “34 years of experience” told him otherwise. He tested both of them despite only one looking sick because he didn’t pay enough attention to keep them straight. After the local testing facility messed up the first test, he had us go in on Thanksgiving morning to a hospital far from our home because he “knows people” there. He put the order in wrong and they sent us home. No one knew him there, and they had no clue we were even coming. His communication skills are incompetent and he uses guilt like “I care about your girls” to get you to think his mistakes are your fault. He admitted zero responsibility for his screw ups and couldn’t get them fixed in any kind of quick fashion. Honestly this man should be embarrassed to call himself a doctor.

Dr. Yaeger has been my two children's pediatrician for at least the past five years (they are in fourth grade and second grade now). We've had a few unique, involved situations come up involving children beyond routine care. Dr. Yaeger is very thoughtful and considerate, and always takes his time to fully answer any questions a parent might have. We always get to meet with Dr. Yaeger at every appointment, which in my experience is not the norm in the industry. What I like the most about Dr. Yaeger's practice is how involved the doctors are and the time they take both at appointments and in between to address our needs. I've been able to call the office and actually speak to Dr. Yaeger on a couple of occasions when something has come up where we needed quick and urgent advice. I highly recommend Dr. Yaeger and I'm very happy we selected Orlando Pediatric Associates as my children's pediatric provider.

I went to visit Dr. Yaeger for a check up for my son and possible flu shot. I had never seen him before and just went with an available doctor. My son has a lot of scars on his legs from scratching and eczema. He mentioned that my son had a lot of scars on his leg and said something to the affect of "If this wasn't America I would call DCF." I didn't say anything at the time and was taken back that he even said that. But I was so shaken up and didn't trust him so I didn't give my son the flu shot at that time. After doing research about him and seeing posts about him on here I ended up calling the doctor's office this morning and filing a complaint.

Dr. Yaeger has always taken the time to answer our questions. He always shows compassion and care with our son. He is a good pediatrician.

He has been the doctor for my 2 daughters for over 12 years now. I am very happy. I really like that he takes the time to really explain things to us. He is an excellent doctor.

My son saw him and both my husband and I were unimpressed. He was not personable and friendly, not even to my sick child. He didn't even ask him questions about how he was feeing. His personality was very dry. We love the practice and most of the doctors, but will think twice before scheduling my son with him again.

Very good and treated my daughter with a bad cold. He was very helpful.

He may be competent, but his bedside manner needs improvement. I also care for medical patients , and I found him vague, distracted, and dismissive. His responses to questions and comments showed he wasn't really listening. Bad day maybe?

Do NOT entrust the care of your child to Dr. Yaeger. He reported us to DCF after we brought in our child when we were concerned about a bump on the head from an accidental fall. We had a tumultuous 2 weeks starting when DCF pounded at our door at 9:30 pm and interrogated us, waking/startling our child, and taking us to "The Kids House" where we were further interrogated by police and staff and where our child was examined, not to return home until 1 am that night. Our poor child had difficulty sleeping for several nights after that. Needless to say, the investigation of our child's injury was ruled as accidental. Dr. Yaeger is NOT caring, does NOT take time to get to know his patients or their parents, and makes very poor judgment calls. I will NEVER take my child to him again, and recommend nobody does.

Dr. Yaeger is very caring and kind and spends a lot of time with you if needed. He never seems to be in a rush and is very down to earth. I would recommend him to anyone. He is really good with kids and parents. He is comforting, encouraging, and cheerful.
