List of Donald A. Plumley's Reviews
Dr. Plumley was fantastic with our daughter. I may have left another review, but it has been over two years since he performed her lobectomy. We have seen x-rays since and everything still looks great. Our daughter is a very healthy, happy little girl. Dr. Plumley's expertise is top notch, along with his bedside manner and willingness to explain everything that takes place before, during, and after ...
He has operated on my son twice and his skills, bedside manner and kindness was amazing. Office staff is incredibly friendly and professional. Would recommend this practice without hesitation.
Excellent Doctor he safe my daughters life, has perform three surgeries on her and I'm for ever thankful..
Compassionate, knowledgeable, thorough. Great in crisis and complicated situations. Cares about the patient and family beyond the surgery.
Staff was very polite and helpful. His staff was ready to go and Dr. Plumley was on time. He was very helpful and willing to give his time to help us learn about the surgery. He was very intelligent and knew exactly what was wrong. Very helping, and very kind.
Pleasant officeVery professional honest and straight forward with complicated problem
About 7 years ago (13yrs old) I fell off my horse and she stepped on my stomach. My mom took me to the Hospital in Eustis and they put me in a helicopter to ORMC. ORMC then sent me in an ambulance to Arnold Palmer Hospital. I was in medially induced coma for 3 day, ICU 11day, and the hospital for 30days. Dr. Plumley was the only one out of all 3 hospitals who was able to find out what was wrong and he did surgery to fix what he could and then he had to remove my spleen. Once I was discharged from the hospital I was home for a few days then became sick (mom couldnt get my fever down and I started looking pale then grey). I went back to the hospital and it ended up Dr. Plumley had 2 other surgeries to do and wanted another Dr to put in a tube (it went in my side and into a vein on my chest where we could put antibiotic in it while at home). Being so young and Dr. Plumley being the one who saved my life a few weeks before he was the only one I wanted doing this surgery/procedure. He found out that I was crying because another Dr was going to do it and he said no he would. He did a surgery across the street at the hospital then rushed to his office did my surgery then rushed back to the 2nd patient at the hospital to do that surgery also. I think hes an awesome person and still to this day he is the ONLY Dr Id let do surgery on me. Since then Ive been fine. Im alive, still ride horses, and just graduated the Police Academy and I owe every part of that to Dr. Plumley!!!!
He quickly and accuately diagnosed appendicitis in the ER. He had it removed within 90 minutes of meeting us. My child developed a hematoma that became septic. At this point my opinion of Dr Plumley diminished. He was quick to release him from the hospital and dismiss his pain as a teenager wanting pain pills. 4 weeks later we are still dealing with the unusual complications from a lap. appy. His 3 partners were supportive of his decisions. We disagreed.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
