Douglas Childs Dpm's Online Review Report Card

I've not been greatly pleased but his office is convenient and I've had some feedback from others. I will not go see him again. My appointment was for one problem but I ended up with another problem just prior to my appointment. I had sprained my toe on my right foot and it was very bruised so an x-ray was taken. Dr. Childs said it wasn't broken but showed me a small chip. He prescribed medication for another unrelated issued and started to leave. I then said what about the problem I had the appointment for? He then checked the toe on the other foot, the original issue, clipped my nail and that was it. Scheduled another appt. The toe with the chip started swelling, turning red and warm and painful. I tried calling 3 times to see if I could get an immediate appointment but could not. I explained the problem and was told that he had told me in the appointment that I would probably need surgery. He never, ever once mentioned that. Trying to cover for his error.What a disgrace!

He treated me without explaining the side effects and I ended up worse One of the staff laughed about it I was also treated for an area on my foot which I paid two co pays for and the area came back I called the office and they wanted me to come back and pay more I have already paid a lot for nothing and even lost money as I missed work from his treatment!!! They did not care!!!

I've had 3 appts in a series of 4. In each appt I've seen improvement and I will not be seeking surgery at this time. Originally I wanted surgery and I picked the right doctor. The injections and the pads are working. Much less $ and down time. Dr. Childs is very professional, mild manner and answered all my questions. As is his staff.

Dont understand all the glowing reviews,after 4 visits,a mri an,cat scan,Dr.Childs seemed puzzled as to my diagnosis for ankle pain,the office did not have the paperwork from my insurance company approving the stabilizing boot,they asked me to go back home to get the copies that i had, after returning to the office about 15 minutes later,one of his assistants fitted me for the boot an that was it Dr.Childs never came back into the office to offer any instruction or any professional aid on how often to wear the boot,NOTHING,,i have nothing good to say about this guy,he seems to be all about the money,and i also get the impression that he does not like his work!I really think this guy needs to find another line of work.

Great Doctor. He listens and takes time with you.

I've been seeing Dr child's since October 2015 and my experience with him has been great ,he really takes extra good care of his patients ,I would recommend him to everyone.

Was very happy with my first visit, was surprised by the trimming of the nails which came first befor seeing the Dr. Always have been uneasy Too show my toes to anybody but Dr,s but the Dr's tech made me feel at ease, whitch made me feel more comfortable . Dr. Was straight up with my condition gave me a couple options to think over, I am very happy with this practice, will recommend anyone who needs this type of service.

The entire staff and Doctor have been wonderful in their treatment of myself in taking care of whatever has to be done. I would most certainly recommend Orlando Foot and Ankle Orlando - Apopka to whoever needs treatment.
