This doctor saved our baby's life. He had meningitis at 5 months of age, and the ER doctors said it was just an ear infection. Dr pedrosa took 1 look at him and knew what it was. She would also take the time to sing to our baby and give us a break while she visited and sang to him every day.. sure wish she was still in southern Illinois

I’ve been going to Dr Pedrosa since I was around 9-11 maybe, and I love her and her staff. I’m currently pregnant myself and thats already the doctor I’ve chosen for my baby.

Dr. Pedrosa is the best Pediatrician in town, she is the person that you should chose as the pediatrician of your children. Yari the Medical Assistant and Monica the receptionist are the best Medical team to trust the Medical Care of your Family.

Desde enero 2022 estoy llevando mis 2 Niñ@s a la oficina Pediátrica de la Dr. Evelyn Pedrosa. Mi experiencia con la Dr. A sido muy buena, tanto para Mi como para mis Niñ@s. Pero el trato de la recepciónista a Mi Persona a sido muy inasociable, me hace sentir impotente e intimidada. Cuando llamo a la oficina no procura ayudarme con mis asuntos referentes a mis Niñ@s. Y cuando vuelvo a llamar me pasa al mensaje de voz de una sola vez. Cuando e ido a la oficina solicitando a la recepciónista me brinde ayuda referente al servicio medico que mis Hij@s reciben allí. Ella se cierra en un no rotundo, sin ningún interés de ayudarme. Como quien dice = es así y punto! espera, no me interesa tu necesidad, así que espera. Agradecería si la recepciónista dispusiera más de una buena actitud, sea mas amable, para brindar más opciones y procurar ayudar siendo más flexible a nuestras necesidades de Padres. Entiendo que tiene sus responsabilidades y reglas en su trabajo, talves tiene mucho trabajo, pero es importante que no olvide ser amable y colaboradora. Ya que no voy a pedir nada de gratis, el seguro de mis Niñ@s paga. Dr. Evelyn gracias por su buen servicio Personal que Usted brinda. Me alegra que Usted sea el médico Pediatra de mis Niñ@s. Pero por favor le sugiero que la recepciónista nos de un mejor trato. Gracias.

Would not take my child back to this office. The doctor was stuck up and rude when my daughter was a new patient! I waited over a hour after my appointment in the back room listening to them all just chit chat. And I can tell you if you Don't do it her way that it's her way or nothing she'll tell you to find a different doctor. Well gladly I will do that.

I love my kids doctor, Pedrosa, I've been taking my kids for over 14 years and still counting. Her staff is amazing when ever my kids get sick i call right away and the receptionist always real quick tells me bring him or her in. I love them very much they are amazing, polite and caring I trust them 100% with my kids and I definitely refer my family and friends to her because she and her staff is that amazing. I wouldn't change Dr Pedrosa what so ever.

La mejor pediatra q han visto mis hijos. Desde la recepcionista, la enfermera y la Dra. Siempre amables, siempre hay citas disponibles. La Dra Pedroza es lo mejor, te dedica tiempo, busca opciones y el tratamiento es el mejor. La recomiendo a ojos cerrados. Confio 100% la salud de mis hijos a la Dra Pedraza

My son is now 7 months old but I still find myself reflecting on the treatment I experienced at Dr. Pedrosa's office for our newborn visit. I feel I need to share my experience as a warning to new mothers considering taking their little ones to this provider. Firstly, when I called to set up our first appointment I was told that no care partners were able to attend due to COVID restricitions. When I inquired further about lifting the baby carrier at three days post-partum, the receptionist stated "I'm assuming you didn't have a C-section or else you would have told me right? You'll be fine." This woman did not know; or care to ask, the nature of my delivery. Seeing that this is a pediatric practice, you would think that they would know that women can endure injuries from birth whether or not they have a cesarean. Not to mention, this is not a stand-alone office. You have to enter a building, take an elevator, and walk through a hallway in order to get to Pedrosa's office- something I didn't know until I arrived. I completely support social distancing and appreciate the extra precautions, however, the office lobby was empty when I arrived which tells me it wouldn't have been difficult to stagger appointments in order to remain COVID compliant. So here I am, a brand new mother, carrying a 20 lb baby carrier up and down halls trying to find the doctors office. I finally arrive and they put me in a treatment room with a stack of paperwork to complete. Of course- my baby starts crying. I am trying to pacify him while completing the necessary documents when a nurse comes in and asks me to feed my baby because "he's clearly hungry." She also asked me if I had formula. I told her I didn't, because I was breastfeeding. She replied, "Oh. Well, you should probably do that then." It became clear to me that this office did not support breastfeeding. When Dr. Pedrosa arrived to speak to me she continually made me feel like I was already failing as a mother. She explained that she could hear my baby crying in the hallway, that he was crying because he wasn't getting enough milk, and that I needed to supplement with formula immediately. She also told me that I needed to think about getting rid of my cats because it could be dangerous for the baby but if I had dogs it would be okay because they can be controlled? Not ONCE did she or anyone in the office screen me for post postpartum depression- which I clearly had. I left Dr. Pedrosa's office in tears. The thoughts of being a horrible mother that were already filling my head because of my PPD and PPA were exacerbated by speaking with Dr. Pedrosa. Needless to say, I did NOT return for my sons weight-check appointment. Instead, I did my research and found a pediatrician who supported nursing and mothers. They still screen me for PPD seven months after birth. My advice to new moms- please find care for your newborns elsewhere. There is no reason for you to leave a doctors office feeling like I did.
