Liars, liars. This is concerning a issue about a mix up about some contact lenses. My appointment was scheduled over the phone I specifically asked if I would be charged a second time for the contact lenses and the response was no. I drive from Conroy Windermere to the Maitland location and when I get there it was a totally different story, which I had a feeling that this may happen anyway from the employee that was responsible for seeing me and quoted that she was implying to the office visit in front of her colleague to cover her butt ( I have insurance anyway. Priot to the visit I spoke with the office administrator twice and she asked me what was it that was trying to do. I told her thst I only wanted the correct lenses and not a refund for the incorrect ones. The office administrator was supposed to speak with the employee to have the issue resolved. I don't know if it's a buddy buddy system out there or whatever the case may be but I can see now that the employee is not being held accountable for her actions and to also mention that the lenses that were mailed to me were prescription and I asked for non prescription. I will never know the conversation that took place between the office administrator and the employee but this is a bad experience for me especially when I drive from Conroy Windermere to Maitland. My opinion is if you made a mistake then admit it because the next person that she does this to may not be as pleasant as I was and I'm beginning to have second thoughts about returning to the Maitland location again. Prior to the office visit the administrator that I didn't want a refund just the correct contact lenses so now I'm beginning to wonder if I should go ahead and have my card refunded.
Absolutely the worst! We placed an order for my daughter of a pair of glasses on 7/7, today is August 13, we still have yet to hear from anyone in the office for an update. Have been calling optical department for days, no one picks up! Please don’t go there if you have other choices.
Waiting time to long.
Dr. Vicki is wonderful! She's friendly, knowledgeable, and always takes the time to answer any questions without making you feel rushed. The technician who did the kids initial exam was also very kind, and the wait for the dilating eye drops to work was short. The only downside was the check-in and check-out process. It's difficult for the registration staff to know when someone is waiting since there's no bell or clear way to get their attention. Then, after the appointment, you have to get back in the same line to check out. The front desk staff weren't as welcoming as the clinical staff. Overall, the excellent care from Dr. Vicki and the technicians keeps us coming back. I definitely recommend Dr. Vicki!
I had my surgery for Strabismus on December 20, 2023 by Dr. Gold, who is now retired. Everything was five star. Dr. Gold’s reputation, the time he spent with me, and the actual surgery were all stellar. I am most sorry I did not post this review sooner!
The Dr refused to test my special needs 4 year old son for glasses.
I sat on hold for 30 minutes today just to try to schedule my child’s annual eye exam. When it was finally my turn, they dropped the call. Insane.
This practice needs a complete overhaul of its front office. When you call to make an appointment or reschedule or cancel, the phone system asks you to record your phone for a callback, it never happens or rings. I then called again to hold for 48 minutes to make the appointment, and then the office manager states there is a $50 cancellation fee if a 24 hour notice is not given if you can't make the appointment. Now I needed to change the appointment, and I am back in the queue which tells me I am caller 32 and it will be another 38 minutes. There is no general VM box to leave a message whatsoever, and the email and SMS reminders are all No-Reply. And this is at a time when AI receptionists and technology that can easily record a voicemail immediately. They need to pay patients $500 for wasting my time, and my time is as valuable and the same rate as the docs billing rates in this practice!!!
Did make an appointment for contact lenses when I got here they ‘apologized’ and couldn’t do it! Very disappointing
I called to schedule my son an eye appointment on Friday and she very rudely stated does he have an eye problem because we are a specialist. I said yes he does. He has convergence insufficiency and a couple of other things. Scheduled the appointment for the following Thursday. That is great so speedy. Until my husband takes him and he gets nothing better than an exam he could have gotten at Walmart. No special testing like a specialist would do. Then states well he does not need glasses anymore and he is perfectly fine. I am very disappointed in the lack of testing done to come to the conclusion of him being perfectly fine. I wish I would have just taken him to a regular clinic to get the same outcome for cheaper.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
