List of Gert Smalberger's Reviews
I never write reviews, but based on my experience with Mid Florida Dermatology in Metro West, I had to. I met with Lauren Chill and was thoroughly disappointed. She seemed dismissive and portrayed a lack of empathy and care for me as a patient. We met for a maximum of five minutes, and she came in seemingly unprepared. I have never left a doctor's appointment feeling so discouraged by my treatment. I did not feel like I could voice my concerns or questions, and I felt judged for the questions I did ask. It was uncomfortable, and I hope no one experiences this type of treatment wherever they go. Thank you to the receptionist at the front for being kind and welcoming. That was the best part of the experience.
Don’t waste your money or time here. Only reason I came to this office was because a lady told me this was the nearest location to me. Completely disregarded what I came in for and put me on a bunch of products that will be severely over drying if all used at the same time. I came here specifically for a quick fix and was just given a bunch of products that I’ve already tried and failed me in the past. Staff needs to have better knowledge and needs to go in depth with products. If you come, AT LEAST try to be seen by an actual Doctor, AT LEAST. Best part was making it seem like this face wash was different and special, turns out it was just Cerave LOL. I’ve never put out a bad review on a Dr’s office in my life.
I'm still in shocked that I was cleared for surgery. My surgery was set with Dr Jason Crespo however the owner of the establishment advised the staff to cancel all his set surgeries. Yes Dr.Crespo is moving to another establishment however he was willing to finish out his surgeries. NOW I have to start the long process all over because the owner is being unprofessional. It's really sad!
Mid Florida Dermatology and Plastic Surgery is the worst place that you can go. This office will never return your phone call or answer the phone. I took my kid to their office after her doctor recommended it. After she saw doctor we were told that her paperwork needed approval from the insurance. We contacted our insurance and we were told that the papers were never sent. Now we have to start over her treatment and find another doctor that will actually do his job. Do not go there. If don't believe just call and leave a message. Just don't wait for a callback.
They LOVE to charge $$$$ even if they CAN NOT help at all. It's a total scam!! DO NOT MAKE AN APPOINTMENT!! I've been trying to work on a reasonable price to pay, even through they couldn't provide care...no luck at all. They collect money and send you on your way. It's been nothing but a slap in the face. And now I have to pay $$$$ for nothing.
I love this place, never had any bad experience with the doctor and staff, their very polite and sees me on time for every appointment that I had so far, love my skin doc cause he’s very open and also straight forward .
When it comes to talking about bills, the answer is we do not know. It is my absolute right to know about the charges. Everything should be clear when you want to provide any services. The sentence "we do not know" might work for you guys but a client. The bosses should follow the policy of being clear for everything that a client does not feel the fraud. Thank you for your reply, Mid Florida Dermatology. I am afraid I have to say customer service is a joke over there and has no clue even about discussing a simple complaint. You just wrote the comment to look nice in public view. Let me explain why; If you wanted to hear from me, you could provide the direct number of staff whose job is taking care of complaints and show respect to my time. You left a number that I can find it easily from google. Do you think my time is unworthy, and I deserve to hear at least 20 times wordy useless voice message "we apologize for the delay, please continue to hold someone would be with you momentary." If you really sorry, please hire more staff to answer the calls. It seems the business is good, and Mid Florida Dermatology is busy and can afford to have a few employees pick up the phone. I am sorry for myself that I thought Mid Florida Dermatology is the place that deserves to get the chance to solve the issue. To me, the Mid Florida Dermatology mission is just making money, money, and more. Good luck with that. You guys made it; congratulation.
Dr. Treen was nice. The appt was pretty fast. However, the take home instructions caused an infection. When I spoke to the nurse a couple days after the procedure she asked why I was putting peroxide. I told her that's the information on the paper they gave me. She said oh that's old not sure why they gave you that. This should of healed in a couple of days and I had a bad infection for over a week. I also, just received a bill for $400! I do have insurance and checked with the office and Cigna before I went. I was told I only need to pay the copay. They did not code it how I was told and now I have this bill. Will not be going back here.
Be careful when you schedule a visit with this office they will lied on your face just to get as much money as they can from you and your insurance company ... triple check what you doing I will highly recommend NO TO USE THIS DERMATOLOGIST! 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
WASTE OF TIME. I very rarely write reviews, but I wanted to speak truthfully about my terrible experience as a first time patient at Mid Florida Dermatology & Plastic Surgery Ashley Park location. I waited to see Dr. Salinas for an hour. Nobody came into the room to check in or let me know they were running behind. When I finally asked someone how much longer I'd have to wait, they told me they didn't know. So, I left. If you're like me, and appreciate when people respect you and your time, don't waste your precious time here.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
