Janelle Barfield's Online Review Report Card

I originally reviewed Dr Barfield with 5 stars. I am updating my review due to her showing me who she really is. Dr Barfield is a capable and competent doctor, that is the truth…however, she cannot accept criticism or questions about how her practice is running whatsoever. I brought up a concern I had with another provider who saw my son. No one was rude. No one was combative. This was brought up as calmly and professionally as possible. She then in turn gaslit me, talked down to me, and treated me like an actual child. When I tried to correct her on something she said that was just not factual and conjecture she went off even more. Although she is intelligent, the way she behaved was absolutely ignorant and put me off. I will never bring my son back again and I am no longer recommending her to anyone. Hopefully she will work on being able to accept hearing negative things about her practice and work on assuring US (the parents) that issues will be heard and addressed or just gently educating and explaining things without being condescending and flat out rude. It really does sadden me this is the case, but I have lost my trust in her after being treated like this.

I have taken all 3 of my daughters to see Dr. Barfield. She is very professional and courteous. She is what every busy parent with a sick kid needs a polite, caring, and concise doctor (she doesn't talk your ear off or get or get lost helping another patient). You get in, get the help you need and get out! Her staff is always polite and helpful.

The only recommendation I have to make Growing Together Pediatrics better is to duplicate Dr Janelle Barfield!! She is the absolute best and such a pleasure to talk to. She’s friendly, extremely caring, compassionate, and all my kids love coming to see her. She makes them feel like they were just in to see her a week ago even though it’s been months. She deserves the highest honor for providing exceptional care for our children during such a difficult year. Absolutely OUTSTANDING ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ She is the best Pediatrician we’ve experienced from NY, GA, to FL. I recommend everyone to her all the time!!

This is not a Holistic Pediatrician.

My daughter and I adore Dr. Barfield and her staff in both locations. We have being going to her many years and yes she is concerned and very engaged in my daughter's health, her pubit years, well being and her life challenges as she was growing up. She is turning 18 in 2 weeks and I am getting real concerned about where do we find care for her after the pediatric period ends. Kudos Dr. Barfield and Staff!

Dr. Barfield is amazing. Kind, warm, and caring. The whole staff at Growing Together Pediatrics are great!

I absolutely adore Dr. Barfield as a pediatrician for my kids. She is so personable and takes the time to allow me to ask as many questions as needed regarding my children's health. She also has a staff to match and everyone definitely puts the extra effort forth to make you feel welcome in her office. My kids love her, which is most important, and she definitely makes them feel at ease under her care. They also provide progress charts that are really helpful in monitoring your child's development. So grateful she was able to take us on at Growing Together.

She is impersonal and does not care about your child or your time. She is always 45 minutes late but will cancel your appointment if you are running a few minutes behind.

She is the best pediatrician my children ever had, and to see this negative review, I am baffled because that is completely opposite of our experience... The only thing negative for us is that she does not accept my children's insurance anymore, but if she did, we would definitely go back to her practice
