Our son has had a very long journey with CHD, is complex single ventricle, has had multiple open heart surgeries before the age of 5 and now has had a pacemaker placed at 6yo and is still understanding his condition. Dr. Beers and his team took very good care of my son and us before and after the pacer. He is kind and understanding. He answered all of our and our sons questions and me us feel safe.

Dr. Beers and his team were wonderful for my daughters AV Canal/Septal Repair. They really took good care of us and were super informative. He gives you a full breakdown and understanding of the problem, process to fix it, the procedure and his plan. Thank you guys so much for helping my little girl, she is doing so good.

Dr Beers has performed 2 open heart procedures on our son to help mediate his congenital heart defect. Dr Beers and his team are skilled communicators and able to deliver sensitive information in a way that is comforting yet realistic. We were made aware of all of our options and any questions that we had were answered with compassion for our exact situation. After each surgery Dr Beers personally would follow up with us each day and make sure our son was doing well and we were doing well. It provides us with a lot of reassurance to see the surgeon who performed the surgery come by each day and talk with us and monitor his progress. He had a genuine interest in seeing our son do well and thrive after each surgery. Dr Beers is a fantastic person who not only understand how to provide excellent medical care but also to provide a comforting interpersonal experience that is sometimes lost when dealing with surgical procedures. We couldn’t be happier and our son is all smiles! Thanks you!

I was referred as an adult CHD patient to Dr. Beers for a pacemaker replacement and possible thoracotomy on an emergent basis when my pacemaker died and I became dangerously symptomatic. From start to finish Dr. Beers was calm, thoughtful, and kind. I was added on to his schedule last minute yet he still sat for over an hour with my family and I going over my history and all of the possibilities. He answered every question without ever conveying that he was "above" taking the time to do so as many surgeons often do. He did an absolutely fantastic job on the surgery itself- I had absolutely no pain and was back to normal activities in far less time than I had been with prior pacemaker replacements. He followed-up by phone with me himself and again in person. His NP Nicole was also very helpful in making the process seamless- he may appear young but he is an expert well beyond his years both in his technical expertise and bedside manner. I would recommend him to anyone- child or adult.

Dr beers, I’m so very grateful he did my sons surgery. He’s absolutely amazing from when he first came in my sons room he welcomed us nicely, he explained everything with detail and didn’t leave until we we’re comfortable, he gave us updates throughout the whole procedure and checked up on us several times after! He made me feel safe and secured for my little boy, He made my little boys heart work fabulously. I’m forever grateful for dr beers and his team! ??

This experience for us was extremely frightening at the beginning but Dr. Beers and his amazing team took great care of my son! He and his team were informative and communicated effectively to the point we were confident and comfortable going into the day of surgery. The EASE app also made things better by keeping us updated with the step by step process before, during and after surgery statuses. ANY questions we had were answered and let us know our son was in great hands. The team also made sure that we were properly prepared to care for our son at home. Paper work and contact information along with many follow up conversations were also at our convenience . We didn’t feel like we were trusting just a doctor we felt like we were trusting a friend. Again we cannot thank Dr. Beers, Miss Nicole and the rest of the staff enough for the great care they took of our child.

Dr. Beers was very detailed regarding the risks involved with the surgery from the beginning to the end. Even though, there was minimal risk, he still emphasized the risk involved in the surgery. He explained the surgery step by step including every little detail, which gave us comfort to know what would happen to our child. I am very grateful for Dr. Beers and his staff.

our son was treated for a vascular ring repair. Dr. Beers and the rest of the Orlando Health team put us at ease from the day of diagnosis until we were discharged. everyone we worked with was so kind and helped us feel at ease in the middle of a scary situation. we loved Dr. Beers' calm demeanor, and his ability to explain everything that would happen in laymans terms made us feel confident every step of the way. we also loved the app used during surgery that told us what was happening throughout the procedure so we could remain calm on the big day! during our hospital stay he personally checked on our son every day, called us when we got home, and made himself available during our post surgical check up so he could make sure our son -- and his parents! -- were all doing well. we couldn't have asked for a better experience and are so thankful for Dr. Beers and his entire team. thank you thank you!
