Dr. Mauri Carakushansky and his staff are awesome. He is incredibly kind and always do whatever it takes to answer any questions we may have. He is incredible. Not only takes great care of my kid Thomas, but also he is lovely to speak with at every appointment. It’s rare to find a doctor that combines such personal touches and care for a patient as a person with outstanding quality of medical care. Also, he can speak in Portuguese if you don’t understand English. Can’t recommend this doctor highly enough!

Dr. Carakushansky is the best doctor I ever know it. Is patient, very carefully with all the steps and decisions he take for the kids. I recomended 200% +. Also the personal office and the Nemours hospital are very diligent with the care of the patients. I'm very happy that I found this Dr.

Dr. C is knowledgeable, caring, funny and one of the best doctors we've had in all our years for our son. He made our son feel comfortable, spoke honestly and encouragingly. A great doctor and person. Five stars isn't enough!

Great doctor who is extremely thorough. Our first visit with Dr. C was this past Thursday and he reviewed my sons previous lab work and radiology reports. He is knowledgeable and critical of other reports. He questioned one of my sons levels that according to the labs reference range was normal, however it was actually slightly elevated. He also questioned the local diagnostic center that we go to. With that said, I can tell that he is extremely confident in his team at nemours, and thoroughly checks outside records. I am thankful that he cares enough to go the extra mile to make sure there is a correct diagnosis to what is causing my sons thyroid issue. He had a great bedside manner, he was personable and positive.

Dr C was on the floor when my son was diagnosed as a Type I 6 years ago. We love him. We’ve moved from Orlando and return every 4 months to see Dr C. He has a wealth of knowledge, excellent bedside manner, stays on top of developing treatments, has a good sense of humor, and knows how to talk to his patients and their parents about diabetes, care/lack thereof, diet, etc w respect and consideration

Horrible diabetic educators/nurses. When calling when our child had continuous high numbers with Strep Throat, I uploaded his Insulin Pump to Diasend and sent this to their office. After calling numerous times, the "Diabetic Educator" told me their computers were not working right she could not view his numbers on Diasend and to "just play around with his basal numbers while he is sick". I called, emailed, numerous times trying to get the Doctor directly to respond, we got NO response.

Dr. Carakushansky is a consummate professional and focused on the children he treats. With twin sons under his care for different reasons, we are constantly impressed with his recall of both boys and the fact that he talks with them not at or over them. He is absolutely vested in being a partner for the best interest of our miracles and their development.
