I would give -stars if I could. His answers were delivered in a very poor and condescending manner. I have been sick for a long time and he disagreed with what a different Dr told me and laughed every time I tried to explain what I was told. He interrupted us and said he didn’t care to hear what that dr said. Belittled that drs opinion on my issues. Instead of hearing me to communicate why he felt differently, he expressed that dr wasn’t as knowledgable as he is. I was crying when he came in and had on a neck brace as I was instructed to do by a previous Dr and Dr Medary said “oh we have drama here”. Those were his very first words to me. You do not go to a neurosurgeon because you feel good. He has no compassion from the impression he gave me. I had high hopes. He did express I did not need surgery and I appreciate that but his nonexistent compassion needs work.

the office manager is very rude and doesn't know her job. they only care about money in this place. don't waste your time.

Dr.Medary was most attentive to my issues and offering options for resolution. Upon discussing with him we had a clear understanding of potential issues and results. He was able to perform surgery which resulted in excellent results. His treatment was as anticipated and I am 100 % satisfied with his treatment. I would higly recommend Dr Medery.

Dr medary is an excellent surgeon. I was afraid of surgery, but he made it sound simple and knew exactly what to do to relieve my pain. He’s straight forward, confident in his work and I would recommend him highly. I suffered from stenosis for years and I’m basically pain free now. Thank you

I would rate Dr. Medary zero stars if I could. I went to see Dr. Medary for back surgery consultation on June 2022. From the first visit there were red flags that I ignored because I was in so much pain that had already persisted for a year and half at this point and was desperate for relief. I thought he would like to know my medical history, he flatly said “no”. He just wanted to know where the pain was located. I was taken aback by this because it was pertinent information and every doctor/surgeon I have ever been to wants to know but I just pushed it aside and proceeded with the consultation. He then tells me that he can tell I’m on narcotics just by looking at me and that my husband must be present to support me in all ways. I was flabbergasted by these rude assumptions. He further arrogantly told me that he did not believe in pain management or physical therapy, only surgery. I thought this was so bizarre to make these unsolicited, unjustifiable opinions and assumptions and yet he did not care to know my actual medical history. I presented him with an MRI and disc that is a year old and asked Dr. Medary if I should get a new one done since it was a year old, and I felt there could be more issues than what the year-old MRI and disc were showing. He stuck with and focused on a bulging disc on L3-L4 even though I brought up that my tailbone was also hurting, and he assumed that it was because I was sitting around all the time. Again, he never asked since he didn’t want to know my medical history. My instincts were telling me different but again, I relented. I had the operation, and I was still unable to walk for more than 50 feet and stand for more than 2 minutes and I had severe, unrelenting pain in my left leg still due to my lower back issues. I was still in the same amount of pain and getting progressively worse during my “recovery”. In post visits, I told Dr. Medary this and he sent me to get an MRI, almost 2 months post-surgery. The MRI revealed that I had more bulging discs, severe stenosis (severe narrowing of the spinal canal especially toward my tail bone L5-S1, hence my tailbone pain). He changed the adjective “severe” as stated in the MRI report to “moderate” in my medical record. I still had spondylolisthesis. He feigned empathy as he always treated my concerns with condescension and arrogance. I would leave in tears the first 2 post-op visits out of anger and frustration and became fed up with his antics. In further visits, I vowed to never cry again and decided to fight “fire with fire” and he then told me to get a second opinion knowing full well that another surgeon would not want to revise another surgeon’s work and I was turned down many times by other offices. Some would not see me until a year or more later because I was still “healing” and because of the aforementioned. I finally got a surgeon to see me, and he was crititcal of Dr. Medary’s work telling me he did not put cages in (support systems) and said to me that the whole thing was collapsing. He referred me to a revision surgeon in Clear water, Fl and I still had one other appointment scheduled with another revision surgeon here in Orlando. Both revision surgeons said the same exact thing to me that the Medary’s work would have to be revised and the work would have to be extended all the way down to my tail bone. So, from L3-S1. I chose the revision surgeon here in Orlando and he revised Dr. Medary’s work and extended it. I am currently still recovering but I can walk (I walk an hour daily), stand and live pain free. All 3 surgeons I met post Dr. Medary have been kind, sincere, empathetic and on the top of their game. Because of Dr. Medary failed surgery, I lost 6 months of sick leave and wages, endured a lot of anguish and frustration over my situation not improving. Lastly, his medical assistants often do not return phone calls or emails and they can be quite rude because they do not like to be bothered. This was not the case in my revision surgeon’s office, it was quite the opposite. All phone calls and emails were always returned with kindness.

Very disappointing he never listened to me spoke over me ,and don’t really care ,he just got up and said have a good day n left in the middle of me talking I would say more but I don’t want to waste my time not even a half of star

16 years ago I met Dr. Medary due to my back to back seizure episodes. I had little hope within me with limited knowledge about my condition. I thought I was never going to be able to do things as I used to without having to worry about when the next episode was going to happen. Dr. Medary not only explained to me in details what my condition was, but also gave me hope, and offered me a solution when I thought there wasn’t going to be any. Fast forward 16 years and I got the pleasure to see him a few days ago again, but this time for him to check on my Mri from my lower back which btw he went over thoroughly. I also couldn’t wait to shake his hand and let him know how grateful I have been throughout these years. Craniotomy was the term for the brain surgery he operated on me and as a result I have been seizure free ever since. I have been able to do all the simple yet important things like driving, swimming or simply not having to worry about being by myself at times all and all because of this man. I am a healthy man, a healthy father, and a healthy husband today because of Dr. Medary’s miracle work almost 2 decades ago. He truly is a celebrity in my book! Dr. Medary It was a great pleasure to see you again! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you have done for me, and I hope to see you around! 🙏🏼
