List of MIchael M Gutierrez's Reviews
I’ve been going to this physician for over 12 years and it is no longer about the care or the patient but how many people he can get through the door. I do not feel like my skin is being examined because there is no way he can look at me in less than 1 minute which is the time he sets aside to see you. He has become disappointing.
Went to mid Florida Dermotology today for skin ca to be removed. I understand that I had to remain there for sometime but during the waiting process I was forgotten two times just laying around on a treatment chair. I’ve been there before and had never had that experience and was totally disappointed with the whole process. I personally would not recommend them but due to my insurance I’m screwed.
Dr. Gutierrez and Dr. Crespo provided excellent care. Thanks
He spent less than two minutes with me. I do not think he cares about his patients. Never again.
Went to see him few days ago for som rashes which were getting better . He was extremely rude doctor made fun of my insurance stating it’s like Medicare & get biopsy for no reason as it wouldn’t cost me anything. Did not even check me for 2 min . He seemed really incompetent doctor. I will not recommend him to anyone. I believe if you see any good reviews they might be his staff or friends & family.
In my experience it was unpleasant, because on three consecutive occasions they canceled my appointment, in addition to waiting for the other appointment for more than a month.
Do not go there! Not recommended. Went to his office twice. In both occasions he showed no interest or caring for my conditions. He was in a hurry and spent less than 5-8 minutes on me on both visits. He didn't inspect my scalp or body. He didn't ask questions of any other conditions or provided adequate or informative answers to my questions. I found out I am not the only one with this negative experience. I got better professional service from a dermatologist physician assistant, Amy Davis from Associates in Dermatology. (A++). She treated my skin problems in a very polite, respectful way and never make me feel she was in a hurry even though she is always quite busy. I strongly recommend her.
a day ago This review is my personal opinion and it directly relates to my own personal experience after visiting Mid Florida Dermatology. I do not recommend this group Mid Florida Dermatology. The office is not clean and it is poorly managed. Patients are treated like cattle and quickly herded through their assembly line with getting them out as quickly as possible being their main objective. If you have an issue such as a skin cancer, you are not given an opportunity to meet with the doctor who will perform your surgery before being tossed into a room and your face cut into. No bedside manner. No decent, detailed explanation of what will be done before it’s actually done. You are not asked if you have any questions or concerns. No consultation about other possible options. No information about the surgery procedure and what the scarring might look like afterwards. A poor excuse for follow-up care is handed to you on you on a small piece of paper on your way out the door. My doctors were Dr. Michael Gutierrez, Founder & CEO, Dermatologist, and Dr. Jillian Morrison, Plastic Surgeon. If you notice later that night that your wound seems to be getting infected, don’t bother trying to call that office or one of their other offices for any help. The phone numbers are all automated. You will find it very difficult to reach an actual human being. You can leave a recorded message but your call will not be returned. If you are very persistent and keep calling constantly you might finally get through to an actual human being...not your doctor though...you might be told like I was that she is out somewhere and away from her computer and can’t speak with you. Just tell whoever answers that you are very upset and afraid and that you desperately need a prescription called in for some antibiotics because your entire face is swollen with infection and red and blue and you are having difficulty breathing through one side of your nose. They finally called something in for me. But they called it in to a pharmacy in a city in which I don’t don’t live. I had to call back...again and again....no humans just recorded messages. The next day I got a human to call me back, but because I was upset and I started to cry the person on the other end of the phone hung up on me. Unbelievable. I did finally get some antibiotics. The infection took a while to heal and I am sure my scarring is worse than it would have been because of the delay in getting medical help. I survived the ordeal but I will tell anyone to please, if you have a choice and your insurance does not require you to go Mid Florida Dermatology then please do yourself a favor and go anywhere else. I have since found a wonderful dermatologist. It’s a drive to get there but omg a night and day difference as far as cleanliness, friendliness, bedside manner, and office management.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
