Started visiting Dr. Iftikhar back in October and he has been great! He took the time to hear what my visit was for and explained my options on what he thought would work best for me. Personally, I thought he took his time and helped me understand what I was experiencing. I think he hears just enough about you and what you're experiencing to know how to help. I see some negative reviews about the receptionist and personally I think she is great. She may not answer the phone but she will respond to your emails within an hour. You do have to keep in mind that she is one person with the doctor so I'm not sure how much time she actually has to even answer a call. If you do have a hard time reaching out I would recommend emailing them as they will get back to you extremely fast.
I found Dr Rasul online. Making an appointment was incredibly easy. Melissa answers emails quickly and she's so helpful and patient with all of my questions. She checks me in right when I walk in and is quick with making appointments and handling payment. This place is perfect for people who might have anxiety in situations where they have to see a doctor or call in, because emailing is an effective way to communicate with Melissa and there's only one other person in the office. Dr Rasul listened to me cry and talk for about an hour during my first appointment. He let me flip through pages upon pages of things I had written that I wanted to address, and listened to all of it without interrupting. He was super understanding and honestly I felt like he could read my mind. He asked me if the medications he was going to prescribe were okay, and whenever I come in he asks if everything is alright with my medications or if I need any changes or adjustments. He also cares to know that I'm making progress in my day to day life too. I've had psychiatrists tell me to push through my problems with medications, and ignore me when I spoke up about an issue, Dr Rasul is nothing like that. He's the best psychiatrist I've ever been to and I'm very glad I found him. His help is worth the travel and cost.
I've been seeing Dr. Rasul since 2017. I was dropped by my primary care doctor (who'd prescribed me my antidepressants a few years prior) when I became pregnant--wouldn't even step into the room to talk to me. Luckily, I found Dr. Rasul, and I am so incredibly grateful. He monitored me and the medications I was taking throughout my pregnancy. When I moved to a different city, he offered to do my appointments over the phone (before COVID) because I wasn't certain I'd find a provider who I trusted and who I knew listened to me like he did. Any time I've had questions about my medications or asked for changes, he's walked me through what the best options were for my day-to-day. And Melissa at the front desk is a saint. She's helped squeeze me in for appointments when I've forgotten to schedule one for a refill, and doesn't mind when I email because I've forgotten whether I should contact the office for my phone appointments or let them contact me (every. single. time.).
Katie, On my first appointment with my mother he took his time reaching out to CVS and others to see what meds my mother was on. By the time We sat with the doctor , he knew everything about my mother. I'm sorry you had a misinterpretation on how he wants to know all about you, before he sees you. He has been one the most honest doctors I have met since I'm taking care of my mother.
Dr. Rasul is an incredible mental health care professional. My husband is in the 80+ years category and there are very special needs in the population. The last year or so, he's needed behavioral health care and this can be a jarring experience for someone who has gone through their whole life without this type of care and then all of a sudden needs this in their 80's! Dr. Rasul is amazing with my husband. He has established a level of comfort that has made this experience pleasurable for my husband. Dr. Rasul is compassionate and really understands the need of the geriatric population. I imagine that he's great with all ages but I can definitely speak to the care he has provided my husband. Because of Dr. Rasul my husband is thriving. We have found a regimen that works for him and he no longer feels overwhelmed by seeking mental health care or treatment. I'm incredibly thankful to this experienced and compassionate psychiatrist who has literally changed my husband's life and mine as well!
Great facility with great peoole
Not happy about this place. I made a new patient appointment and I arrived a few minutes early. I filled out all their paperwork. There were about four other people in the waiting room when I arrived. 30 mins went by and they were all seen. Then more people arrived and over and hour goes by and I'm still not seen. The people that came after me were seen before me. I asked the woman at the front and she drifted me off. After an hour of waiting I only had a 5 min appointment. Was not professional in any manner. I told him what I needed and I controlled the conversation. As a new patient you should be asked basic questions especially when it comes to safety in medications. Doesn't make me feel safe that this office is giving out meds when not even getting to know your patients. Don't suggest this place. I'm sure there are better doctors than these here.
I tried to contact them several times, they never answer the phone. I tried to book an appointment on their web page and they ask me to call them and I explained via text that I already tried but no answer. Finally I got a response via text from Michelle asking me for the name, date of birth and Insurance. I got a text back from her saying that my Insurance is not in their network, I text her back explaining that I will pay in advance if required to get an appointment, she never answer back. Very bad customer service. I gave 1 star because I was not able to put 0
This place is garbage they never pick up the phone and if they magically answer the phone they leave you on hold till you loose your patience and Hangup; I've left several voicemails with phone number to return call but weeks later and even months later still nothing. I have a better chance getting a call from my dead relatives than this place
I went to Dr. Lftikhar office for 4 months, I found him to be knowledgeable and he started me on medication that immediately helped my symptoms. The office staff , which is only one person , would never return calls or fax from my pharmacy requesting to have my medication refilled. Leaving my pharmacy to call me. When I would call the office I would get no answer and the mailbox would always be full. This would make me have to drive 30 minutes to their office to request a refill that should have been already done automatically. The last time I did this I stood at the door of the office and called her phone and watched her sit there while it rang and rang and rang . When confronted with this she just said oh I'm sorry, I will take care of it . That was my last visit there , I found a new doctor and office staff . There is no reason for anyone that is being treated for anxiety, from this office , to have additional anxiety regarding their meds being filled on time.

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
