I had a total knee replacement in July. Dr. Dinh, from the same office did my surgery. He was so great! He explained everything to me, was very friendly and I never felt rushed. My recovery time was so short. I was able to do so much even the week after. I experienced very little pain—I couldn’t believe it. I got in very close to my appointment time with little waiting. The staff was great as well. I plan to go back and have my other knee done next year.
This Dr. Does not give jell shots in joints. Something about insurance doesn’t pay and I have to get hyalronic product from Walgreens then bring it to him. I was dumbfounded. Have gotten shots in knees for a few years from 3 different ortho surgeon in different states as I travel and Medicare and supplemental always pay. Knees are extremely bone on bone. And I’m becoming disabled from pain and I need pain relief and surgery and he put me at 2 years waiting. I’m speechless shocked.
I had a total right knee replacement in April 2018... I had a speedy recovery and am without any pain one year post op... You can trust Dr. Nguyen; he knows what he’s doing... Very competent... Highly recommend... Extremely experienced...
I dealt primarily with his P.A.s until it came time for surgery. They explained everything in detail & at least one of them was involved in the surgery. Dr. Nguyen stopped by at the hospital prior to surgery to explain what he was going to do & verify that he had the correct knee in mind for surgery. I had both knees replaced 3 mo. apart. He & one of his P.A.s stopped by the morning after surgery to check on my progress. He's efficient and effective. I wouldn't take my knees to anyone else.
He did minimally invasive surgery on my in 2009 for a labral tear in my right hip. I had horrible pain after the surgery and had to ask for a script for physical therapy a month after my surgery. I barely had a range of motion and he said to me that "we are not all as young and flexible as we used to be!" Seriously! I never went back to him after that. I was 29 years old and a former cheerleader. Almost 10 years later I have been to numerous physicians and been through numerous treatments to see if I can help the permanent damage I have suffered. I have nerve damage in my leg and will never regain feeling there. I miss out on so much with enjoying my daughter!
Had my right knee replaced on 9/27/16, what a different outcome from the replacement I had done on 6/2/9 to my left knee. Very little pain, and it was very manageable used very little pain medication. no walker, cane or crutches after one week. only 4 weeks of pt, compared to 3 1/2 months the first time. I would highly recommend Dr Nguyen, he is a miracle worker in my book. he is vry busy but got mvd up by 5 months by getting on tne cancellation list
This doctor is quite dismissive and hurried in his manner. He spends 5 minutes in explaining your planned medical procedure and you are out the door. I showed him hip x-rays and CT scans (on CD) plus reports of these from the VA and expected that we would go over these in detail. That didn't happen. He had a cursory look at them in the other room. All he told me was I needed bilateral hip revisions. I definitely would not recommend him.
I have received two total knee replacements from Dr. Nguyen and returned to work in 2 1/2 weeks. I am a Physical Therapist and have treated many of his patients as well. There is no other doctor doing his procedure. There is no other doctor I know of performing this technique. He is worth the wait for surgery!
I had knee replacement surgery and 6 weeks later i was able to play golf! Compared to other patients that had conventional knee replacement at physical therapy I was at least 6-8 weeks ahead of them on rehabilitation. The lateral technique he uses is nothing short of a miracle. I would not hesitate to recommend him, his staff and the technique to anyone considering knee replacement surgery. Awesome!!!
In Sept 2009 there was an article in an Orlando Magazine stating Florida Hospital endorsed Dr. Nguyen as their EXPERT in hip replacement surgery. I was having problems with the left hip so I made an appt with Dr. Nguyen. He did an exray of the hip and said it was degenerative arthritis. He then explained the minimally invasive procedure. He said there would be two small incisions in the front of the leg & that the pain & healing time would be half the normal. He made one huge incision. I did not know that this was a new procedure. Weeks after the surgery the pain became excruiating. I went to see Dr. Nguyen and he said that during the surgery he had injected a high amount of anti inflammatory drugs that lasted around two months and to give a little more time to heal. A few mths later I saw several doctors which advised me that you never go through the front of the leg because all the nerves are there. It has been two years, I am very limited in walking & my pain is permanent.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
