My husband had a stroke six (6) months ago. It has been a nightmare dealing with Dr. Porter & his "compassionate" staff! On three (3) occasions he was scheduled to have his blood drawn in-house; 2 times no one was there who could draw blood (no one bothered to call and notify us or reschedule), the third time he was told the phlebotomist was going to lunch in five minutes and he would have to wait. ...

When you go into a doctors office and the receptionist and the nurse can look and talk to your family member and recognize they are disabled but the doctor(Aaron Porter) comes in the room as I’m trying to name off things to his questions he rudely asks me if my mentally challenged sister can speak? Then looks at her and says “ what happened to your teeth?” Then proceeded to ask me if she had ever been to a doctor before because there was a lot more going on than than her Parkinson’s. Really? Certainly no bedside manner, arrogant.. the nurse to vitals he really did nothing . Never looked in her mouth, listen to her heart or lungs absolutely nothing but felt the bottom of her legs through her jeans and ordered blood work. He wants her back in 2 months. Why to be rude? Maybe this time he can ask why she has a mental disability.

The worst most uncaring doctor ever! I will not go back!

My husband visited Dr. Porter for the first time and absolutely loved the entire office. Everyone was pleasant, helpful and moved quickly. Dr. Porter has wonderful bedside manor and made my husband feel very comfortable. Which was great because he was very nervous to see a new doctor but everyone made him feel so welcome he lost his nervousness immediately. They even gave him a Welcome greeting card for being a new patient! Such a nice place. I will be moving over to them as well now.

Highly unprofessional and very little social skills. He came in, short sleeves and tattoos all over. Condescending and arrogant, no empathy whatsoever.

I met with for maybe 10 min I had to switch doctors because of the new year my insurance tripled.He went over the basics not really looking up. I told him I wanted to keep up on my prescriptions. He walked out the door and that was that. Just basic doctor stuff. So as I left the girls at the counter were nice. they told me just go on line and put in for your meds. They said come back in 3 months. I thought who how professional. So I typed in all my med when they run out and how much I had. A week or so later I called back they still didn't put in my meds. So a week after that they said your med are ready. So when I went to the pharmacy. He filled things I did not need because I still had plenty. Other thing he wouldn't fill because he said they were to strong for me. He met me for 10 min and he can make psychological decisions on my meds. After another week I finally got ahold of a nurse. She said he would give me something else that did nothing for me I. asked for a referral for a psychiatrist. She said she would put that in that day. I thought ok she said it may take a few weeks but there nothing I can do. So no its months later no referral nothing. So that just put me in a deep depression. I have to go see him again soon because I need my basic meds.IM not looking forward to it. His office is a clinical Laboratory .So when you try to go in its a mad house. I hope when I see him next I hope for more of a compassionate and caring doctor.

Very nice Dr. I had a lot to cover. Ordered all the diagnostics, completed everything on his end we agreed to, intelligent, efficient and I was pleased to have changed to this Dr.

Best doctor I ever had in Virginia..I hate that he left... always so good to me..I could tell him anything and he always had a open mind...very good doctor
