I can’t thank Promises 5 Palms enough for the most rewarding experience at their facility in Ormond Beach. Each and every staff member demonstrated loving, compassionate care for me and others. Also, a big shout out to my July 2021 Community. I thrived not only by the commitment to myself but also the love and compassion I received from each and every one of you. I had a great experience at 5Palms! It started off a bit rocky with issues with my medication and me realizing there was not a gym and due to COVID protocols, we were only able to do outings to parks. But spending more time there, this all really didn’t matter so much. The support and care I received from all the staff was like nothing I ever experienced before in treatment. I was excited for every session and really feel I learned many new things even though I have been in treatment before and felt I knew a lot. I learned so much about myself and the “why” behind many of my issues. Things I never fully understood in my 10+ years of treatment.Every staff member really cared about me as a person. They were there with me through my good times and the bad times. Even when I voiced my concerns and feelings about a situation which occurred and I did not agree with their response, they made me feel heard and tried to explain as best they could and validated my feelings.There is a bit of a lack of things to do and a lot of free time at night. There is not a gym, at least when I was there, but you are allowed to run around the circular parking lot and the building. There is a volleyball net, yoga mats, and free weights. Since there is not as much to do, this really builds community and people get very creative and strengthen bonds. I feel like I learned just as much about myself through these peer interactions as I did in the sessions themselves. There are board games to play, several TVs to watch movies as a group, and they set up webcams for virtual AA, NAMI, and other meetings.I felt challenged in the program. They get into the deep stuff and don’t sugar coat things. But you have the support you need to get through it and it is very needed to learn more and get to your deeper issues.One of the best things about 5Palms is the Rooted alumni program. I love my weekly virtual meetings that are the highlight of my week sometimes. There are outings, and service activities most months that they coordinate. I feel so supported by 5Palms even though I am not there. I never realized a place did this, and it is one of the things I feel is most valuable to continued recovery. I am so thankful for 5Palms and Promises for having an alumni program.If I ever need to go back to treatment, 5Palms is the only place I would want to go. It was not what I expected at all, but it really became home for me during my time there. I didn’t feel like I was a patient. I felt like I was part of the 5Palms family, surrounded by support.TL/DR: if you need to go into treatment, really consider 5Palms. You won’t regret it.

Been to a few treatment centers in the past but none like this one. The whole staff, from the cleaning ladies to the Director of Operations were kind, understanding and professional. Wish I could have came years ago. Highly recommend the place to anyone who feels they need help dealing with any mental or substance abuse issues.

I have been dealing with mental illness for 26 years and substance use disorder for 20 years. I have been in private medical facilities, county funded lockdown rehabs, and slept on the floors of my AA fellowship's apartments. I have done years of psychiatry, therapy and various treatment programs. The quality of care I have received at Promises 5 Palms, I did not know existed. The therapy team members are brilliant practitioners of cutting edge, trauma-informed treatments. Katie, Matt, Swayne, Cassie and Silver help me see things about myself I never knew, and tell me what I can do about them in a way I can believe. If you are willing to do the work, this is the place to do it.

Choosing to come to Promises 5 Palms was the best & most healthy decision I had made for myself.The therapist are amazingly insightful & got down to the root of my trauma & the reasons why my vicious cycle had continued throughout my life.The staff is wonderful, understanding & empathetic.Even my peers were great, as we were all here at 5 Palms to heal ourselves.I truly enjoyed my stay here & it is bittersweet to be moving on. However, I'm very grateful to have the strength & healthy coping skills I've received here to begin my new journey. 🙏🏼❤🙏🏼

I arrived at 5 Palms desperate, depressed, and exhausted. I left with hope and a sense of worthiness that I haven’t felt in years. This program has phenomenal and well trained staff. I will say that the group therapists were much more effective for me but I loved everyone. Shout out to Treasure, Matt, Brenda, and Kris!!! Oh and Ms. Lisa for the delicious food!This program gives you what you put it! Breakthrough your resistance and DIG DEEP!!

Unfortunately, my family did not have a positive experience with 5 Palms. Communication, compassion, and continuity of care that was expected was not met. I can only speak for our experience. My family member was there less than a week and (stressfully) transitioned to Hanley Center at Origins which was a much better fit.

Promises Five Palms changed my life. Never have I been to a facility where every single staff member truly cares about the residents/alumni. I will recommend this facility to every single person that is in need of help. Thank you very much for everything. THERE IS HOPE, all you have to do is GO.

I must say my 5 week journey at Promises Five Palms back in Jan-Feb 2021 was a wonderful journey. This place was filled with love, support, acceptance, powerful knowelge and determination to help each and every one that walked through that door by providing intensee teachings of how to live a safer healthier life with recovery. This was indeed my safe place. I was afraid to walk through those doors but super happy I stayed to the point when it was the end of my stay I did not want to leave. Everyone became like family to me and the facility felt like home. I built great relationships with pretty much everyone. I give 5 STARS to Five Palms Behavioral Health's amazing staffing personnel, caregivers, and medical professionals. Thank you Five Palms where promises are kept♡
