List of Marinely Cruz Amy's Reviews
On August 14th I had a bad fall that resulting in me breaking my femur and both shoulders. I had surgery the next day to repair at Central Florida regional. My case was referred to Dr Amy Cruz because my x-ray showed questionable bones. I'm upset because Dr Cruz came in and informed my family that she was going to do a bone marrow biopsy because she said without any question she felt that I had for sure bone cancer, or at least the worst case of osteoporosis she's ever seen and stated to my family that I had bones of an 80-year-old. I just want to state that she was wrong on both counts. My bone marrow biopsy came out clean. And two weeks ago I just had my bone density scan which showed I had osteopenia borderline osteoporosis. I am 56 this is almost a normal scan from somebody my age period so no bone cancer no osteoporosis. WHERE DID THIS LADY GET HER LICENSE??? SHE'S AWFUL.
I have MDS, blood cancer. Dr. Cruz stormed into my hospital room and told me I am very sick and she will not let me slip through the cracks. Then I remembered her from another time, she had devastated me! Then she walked out of my room and I never saw her again! She’s crazy!
She was my mother’s doctor and happend to be the doctor oncall the weekend after my mother’s first chemo treatment. My mother was in excruciating pain and I called and left an urgent message with the service for the doctor. We didn’t know if my mother was able to take Tylenol and I wanted to check. 15 minutes later, I called again and waited. Another 15 minutes later and still no call back so needless to say I was getting very upset. Called AGAIN and they put me on hold to try and reach the dr on the other line & nothing. The operator was so sympathetic and apologized and promised to do her best to help. Almost ONE HOUR LATER I called again and pleaded that they call the dr on call again or I would have to go to the ER. They put me on hold and finally got the dr on the phone via three way call and much to my surprise it was my mother’s very own oncologist! I was borderline irate at this point and in complete disbelief of her response time especially for HER own patient. It took her ONE HOUR to return an ONCALL call that took all of one minute for her to say yes or no! Needless to say we were grossly disappointed and I’d hate to see how she treats the patients that are not her own. There’s a lot more I could say from her unprofessional appearance to her obviously money hungry attitude, basically scanning through my mother’s osteoporosis treatment which was an added pay check. Had it not been for the fact that my mother had already started treatment we wouldn’t have left that office. The saving grace where the nurses who where kind, compassionate and took the time to address and explain any concern my mother had. Stay clear of this dr if you’re in the Treasure Coast or Orlando area. It was very evident to me that her job is routine and a cash cow.
dr cruz tried to save my husband she did chemo when the va hospital would not she is a blessing my husband ended up passing away because the va did not help
Dr. Cruz-Amy has been providing me with Hemotological care for 10 months. I find her to be a dedicated healthcare provider. Her professionalism, skill, determination, and knowledge have been a major factor in my continued survival in a fight with cancer. I highly recommend her and her team at Stuart Oncology Associates, P.A.
I had a very pleasant experienced with Dr. Cruz. She took time to explained my diagnosis and prognosis. She was very knowledgable in the subject and was very profesional. I would recommend Dr Cruz to anyone. She spoke to me like a family member. Felt very comfortable.
I was underwhelmed by Dr Cruz as a physician. She spends more time texting during patient interaction time than she does with the patient! I found her to be ill prepared for each of our meetings and have prayed that she doesn't demonstrate such behaviors with cancer patients who deserve more from her. We did not choose her as a Doctor but rather her partner, Dr. Patel who pawned us off on her. My husband has a serious blood disorder and we recently learned that she isn't even Board Certified in this area and her limited expertise shamefully showed during our interactions! I wouldn't trust her for an instant!
Dr. Cruz-Amy is very caring and attentive. She cares about you when giving you a bad news. She takes time to explain your diagnosis espicially with a diagnosis of cancer. I have have been her patient for over 2 years now and do not have any complaints. She goes out of her way for you. Would never change her.
Cr. Cruz-Amy is the best doctor I have been treated by. She is caring, understanding, sat hrs with me explaining my diagnosis and possible treatment alternatives. I totally disagree with the prior statement regarding her. I do not usually comment on this type of web sites but when I saw this comments rearding Dr. Cruz-Amy I had to make a comment. She is very sweet and always has a smile in her face. She made me feel like I was part of her family. Who ever made the prior comments was having a very bad day likely or did not likely what she had to say regarding their diagnosis and took it out on her.
agree with previous review. not board certified in medical oncology, arrogant, condescending. do not trust.
