My husband suffered a stroke in February. Prior to that he was a well spoken man, who remembered everything. Today he was told that he had dementia. No way in hell. From a man who remembered everything and spoke extremely well and showed no signs of dementia to all of a sudden having dementia. The doctor didn't even listen to me, he just kept talking. He needs to listen and I mean really listen and not just talk for the sake of talking.

Dr. Barrios does not know what he is talking about. He tried telling me today that my husband has dementia which is why he has aphasia. My husband had a stroke and that is why he has aphasia. He was speaking perfectly well prior to the stroke and his memory was very good. After the stroke, his speaking went downhill immediately. Don't tell me that he has dementia.

I’m grateful to God for this doctor. He explained my mom’s condition like no other doctor has. He was very compassionate with her. He took his time and that means alot. The nurse , Crystal was amazing. Very loving and understanding with Mom. I pray that other doctors can be as loving as this doctor was with my mom who is suffering from dementia. Thank you so much for your love and support.
