Maritza Dotres-Martinez Md's Online Review Report Card

My wife changed her medical record to this office because Dr. Martinez is a Spanish speaker and can better communicate her medical issues in her native language. Today, February 10, 2022, at 08:25am, my wife called the office to ask a question. She asked the receptionist if the Spanish translator was available to ask a question as she always had in the past. Whoever the female person who answered the phone was, told my wife that the Spanish speaker wasn't available and that she should call with a translator. That in itself is not an issue. What is an issue, however, is that she didn't even allow my wife to respond or to call me as I was standing right next to her but proceeded to hang the phone just as my wife was starting to respond. Regardless of how busy the office may be, that is absolutely un-professional behavior and has to be brought out. How many times had this been the case for other, I wonder?. If google allowed no star review, I would have given it, but one star is the lowest so here it is.

The office staff is terrible.

The doctor is very thorough and takes ample time with you. Seems to have a good handle on medicine

I felt like I was heard for the first time in years. She made me feel like I was a family member. I have recommended her to friends.

This office has been awful and anything but compassionate or empathetic. Lost my insurance (thanks Covid), and they would not even offer solutions on how I can get refills for needed prescriptions. Either I come in for a full office visit or they won't help. I saw her 6 months ago and will be able to see her in January. It's hard to express this situation without giving out really personal information - one of the meds just makes it so my body won't feed breast cancer if it comes back and the other regulates my heartbeat. I advised the pharmacy that the doctor is refusing to refill my prescriptions. Apparently they still called for refills so I got a rude call from Dr. Martinez's office letting me know, again, that they will not be providing refills. No solutions, no try this or that, just we can't help you, bye. I'm looking for a new doctor when I get my insurance back in January if anyone has suggestions.

Excellent Dr. I coincide with others comments about her 100%. She is very professional and very nice and without any doubt very uptodate on her knowledge of medical science. She also makes you fell not as patient but a family. I am sorry that due to change of insurance plan I had to leave her.

I really licke Dr Martines she is verry thorough. She takes her time explaining and asking questions she probably knows you forget to ask . I will definitely tell my family and friends.

Very caring Dr. doesn’t rush you out.. takes time to get all the facts.... advises compassionately for the the best care of the patient!!! Happy we found her with my husband... now moving my senior parents... to her... I’m that impressed!!! Thank you Dr. Martinez

She took time to listen to me and answer all my questions. She is very patience and knowledgeable. Great Dr. and staff.
