Robert Weltman's Online Review Report Card

He jokes to cover up forgetfulness. Unprofessional.

I visited Dr Weltman and expected a complete skin checkup. According to references, this would include a review of my medical history and a head to toe skin examination. I also expected to be able to ask about spots that I was worried about and to be educated about what to look for in my skin care. Dr Weltman started our appointment by entering the exam room, looking at me, turning around and leaving - all without saying a word. When he came back a few minutes later, he said nothing about his first appearance. He proceeded to "peak" at areas of my skin and then tell me there was nothing of concern. I brought a one inch "birth mark" on my lower leg to his attention and he said he "hadn't noticed it"! He sent his nurse to take a picture of it and that was to be the end of my appointment. I had questions about spots on my face that he had to come back to look at and he seemed irritated about that. He prescribed an over the counter 15% glycolic acid and condescendingly said if I googled it I would get 30,000 hits. He was not caring and gave me the feeling that I had wasted his time although I am paying for this appointment out of my own pocket as it is not covered by insurance. What a waste of time and money! So disappointed in you, Dr Weltman!

Was referred by a neighbor. Went in for a specific issue but inquired about a few other issues. Dr Weltman listened, showed concern, and I did not feel rushed. The doctor met all my needs.

This Dermatologist obviously does not like his job. Does not give a thorough skin exam. Not recommended.

I went in for blemishes on my face, loss of pigment on my arms and dry scaly lesions on my legs. He aggressively challenged my medical history, doctors and blood work results as if I were lying. When I produced lab results on my phone, he wouldn't look at it. He gave me cream for the lesions on my legs, but left before addressing my face or skin pigment. When the nurse brought him back in, he impatiently glanced at my face and said "Looks normal". I've never been so belittled by a physician.

I had a follow up appointment with Dr. Weltman one week after initially seeing him for an unknown rash on my hand. At this appointment, Dr. Weltman was extremely condescending, immature, and unprofessional. I was so upset by his behavior, I let him know that his services were no longer needed, walked out of the room, and requested and received a full refund. I will never take any of my family members to this facility, nor will I recommend his services to anyone. I had not read any of his reviews prior to seeing him and therefore had no prior preconceived notions. I feel so strongly that no other person should be subject to his unprofessionalism, that I felt is necessary to write this review.

1. Excessive amount of waiting time. 2.Said he or his office would call with results after pathologist reviewed the biopsy, did not!

My first interaction was with office staff who are just wonderful, , kind, caring, professional and easy to talk to and I was able to see the doctor in less than one week after my call. Thank you Mary and Stephanie! After arriving for my appointment I was so happy to see that the lovely office staff was just as wonderful in person as on the phone. The medical staff was the best but I am very, very partial to Jenny in the Vero Beach office. She will almost immediately return my calls in a very caring, kind manner and is a huge help when dealing with my insurance company. Thank you Jenny! And finally Dr. Weltman. He is the best! He put me on medicine that started helping me after a very short time because he listened to my issues, diagnosed me immediately and he cared so much about how miserable I was with my skin issues. He is incredibly knowledgeable about dermatology and he gave me a very clear and concise diagnosis and explained in detail about the meds he advised me to take. I just can't say enough wonderful things about Dr. Weltman. I wish I could rate him higher than 5 stars because he as well as his staff more than deserve it. From the bottom of my heart Dr. Weltman, I thank you so very much for all your help, caring, concern and kindness.

I find him to be a very caring, extremely knowledgeable doctor. He is concerned about my problems, listens well, and respects my questions. I saw the bad reviews and am astounded how much a vindictive ex-spouse can smear a very nice person and try to ruin his career.

Wish I could give NO STARS. Poor service; cancelled by appt even though I was only 5 minutes late (I waited over 15 for dr on last visit). Decent patient service, but Dr Weltman was rude to colleagues/support nurse and would not grant visit even though only 5 minutes late due to challening traffic conditions.....
