Dr. Coykendall and his wife Virginia were not only professional, but caring and supportive. I met them after my son’s surgery and that was the reason I decided to move forward with my own surgery. Their approach to health care and patient interaction sets them apart from any past experiences. If you are considering a hernia specialist then look no further…. You will be treated like family and will feel so relaxed and confident. If I could rate my experience it would be 100% satisfaction.

Amazing experience!!! I had a previous hernia repair in 2011 and it was a open procedure. Afterwords, I had many complications which are still lingering today. Dr. C was fantastic. From beginning to end, he explained the entire process and was thorough. The surgery itself was quick in and out. The recovery was quick and I was on my feet working again within a few days. After a few months, I completely forgot that I had the repair because don’t feel anything in the surgical location. I highly recommend seaside hernia, speaking as someone who has gone through this process twice.

I had Inguinal Hernia surgery with Dr. Coykendall two months ago and I can't say enough good things about the whole process. I found Dr Coykendall thru a google search for Hernia Surgery in Palm Beach Gardens and right away several Dr's appeared in the search. I cold called three offices and got no immediate responses. Finally, after several telephone calls and screenings I elected to go with Dr Coykendall. Even more impressive was when I called the office on two separate occasions Dr Coykendall answered the phone himself. (when has that ever happened before !!!!!) he answered my questions patiently and made me feel like I was his only patient . After my initial appointment I scheduled my surgery and due to my busy travel and work schedules I had to reschedule twice. Dr Coykendall was no pressure and said call us when your ready to reschedule. Everything went as promised and the recovery was better than expected. Thank you Dr Coykendall and Ginny for all you do. I recently had an inguinal hernia repair surgery, my doctor was David Coykendall at Seaside Hernia Center. Dr. Coykendall did what I feel to be a fabulous job throughout the process. I had traveled from the Dominican Republic for an appointment with my usual healthcare provider, but she had to cancel the day of my appointment, which severely impacted my travel schedule, which was made specifically to treat my hernia. So I got on the phone and call Seaside Hernia Center, Dr. Coykendall answered the phone and set me at ease. He and his staff worked me into his schedule. He was very knowledgeable and professional. He answered all my questions, explained the procedure in detail, and ensured I was comfortable throughout the process. He also took the time to follow up with me afterward with a teleconference to make sure I was doing well and asked that I drop by when I'm next in town. I would highly recommend Dr. Coykendall to anyone considering hernia surgery. Thanks, Dr. Coykendall!

Dr. Coykendall and his wife Virginia provided me with the best medical experience I have ever had. During both pre-op and post-op periods both Dr. Coykendall and Virginia were accessible via phone call or even text message which is just unheard of for an average medical provider. The day of my surgery was very smooth and all the nurses at the hospital kept saying how lucky I was to have Dr. Coykendall performing my surgery. Healing was very quick and easy and I was back to normal within 3 weeks! Couldn’t have asked for a better experience, thank you Dr. Coykendall and Virginia for everything.

We travel in an RV, so we could go anywhere, but chose Dr. Coykendall due to his expertise with hernias, great ratings and him patiently answering all of our questions. I have never had a doctor answer his own phone and available anytime, even weekends. His wife runs his office and she is a gem. My husband's surgery was two weeks ago and everything went perfectly. He is healing up nicely, very active and his incision line is perfect. Dr.C is a skilled surgeon, very meticulous and we would highly recommend him.

From the initial call answering our questions, through the surgery and then the follow up, we were so pleased with the care we received from Dr. Coykendall and his wife (his office manager). They made sure that everything was scheduled properly and that our insurance would cover the procedure. The surgery went well. Dr. C is very meticulous to use only proven techniques and is part of a study to ensure quality of care. He was available to answer our questions anytime, day or night, even on weekends. He is very concerned about his patients and is very skilled. Two weeks after surgery, my husband is healing nicely, very active, pain free and his incision line is perfect. We can't recommend him enough. If only there were more doctors like him.

This is one time that Google Reviews REALLY came through. I had just spent a grueling 3 hours in the ER. The hospital recommended a general surgeon for my hernia repair. Walking back to the car from the ER, I decided to find my own surgeon. I am so glad that I did. After reading the Google reviews and checking with some doctor-friends, I called Dr. Coykendall's office. He answered and asked me three questions: Do you have a hernia? Do you have insurance? How's 10 am tomorrow for an appointment? When I arrived for my appointment the next morning, I was greeted by the doctor and his support staff (his wife). Absent from my greeting was a giant clipboard with 37 pages of repeated forms to complete. Dr. Coykendall's exam and assessment of my hernia took less time than it took me to park. He explained what a hernia was, detailed the options to me, and then gave me his recommendation. THEN he scheduled the surgery . . . not for the next month, or the next week, but for the next morning. Had I known then what I know know, I wouldn't have been as anxious about the surgery - because it was a breeze (to be fair, I slept through it). Recovery was one or two days of soreness, maybe a week of annoying discomfort around the incision, and then several weeks of boredom from not exercising while I waited for my follow-up visit. Advil took care of whatever issues I had for a few days. Dr. Coykendall's skill doesn't need Google Reviews for approval. He's board certified. That aptitude aside, his and his wife's manner remind me of those doctors that you watch in the old black-and-white movies, where the doctor visits the house and knows you personally. They're just genuinely good folks. DON'T hesitate to call his office. Top class. 10 out of 10 stars.

I am a professional firefighter so everything being done correctly and in a timely manner was very important to me because of my career. I must say the Dr and his wife handled everything from top to bottom and the surgery was extremely successful. I had minimal pain after the first couple days and healed quickly. I am back on duty with no issues and pain free. Thank You
