List of Kalpana R. Kalahasthy's Reviews
Great Doctor! Terrible office staff! Unprofessional demeanor and etiquette.Nothing like an amazing chef only to have a terrible wait staff. I think you get what I mean.Unprofessional office staff can cost you a lot of business no matter how good of a doctor you are.
She is very knowledgeable. I wasn't excited after I left her office the first time , but I hadfollowed exactly what she had told me to do and she fixed all of my problems.
Had an important request from the office staff. I called 10 minutes before 12, they kept me on hold and then disconnected me at 12 because they had to go to lunch. In my opinion this is not an efficient or courteous staff. Dr. Kalahasthy should know this and teach her staff differently.
No calls, no follow up. I had 5 weeks of serious intestinal distress and diarrhea. No help or response from the doctor or staff.
Two years ago Dr. K did a colonoscopy and endoscopy on me and treated me for H. Pilori bacteria. She cured me and for that I was so grateful to her. Her support team i.e. the nurses who assisted with both procedures, was also excellent. A couple of months ago, however, I went back to her for persistent constipation and bloating. She was not as caring or diligent as two years ago. She did not examine me, nor did she offer me any explanation for my ailments. She just ordered another colonoscopy, which once done indicated no issues. I pressed on for more explanation for my constipation/bloating problem - could I possibly have IBS, to which she responded yes. What should I do? Take Fibercon every day. I left her office unsatisfied but followed her suggestion about the Fibercon. This unfortunately did not work. Today, I'm still struggling with the same issues. I think back on my last visit with her and just feel anger and frustration at her lack of attention. I'm disappointed because I really liked her two years ago but sadly now I'll be looking for another gastroenterologist.
The best staff and Dr from beginning to end. I was nervous and jittery but the staff treated me with care and assured me everything would be ok. Checked the day before to see if I understood the directions and I made it through with their help!! THE BEST!!!
Dr. K is great. But, when you try to call the office, they hang up on you or the phone is busy for hours. It is important to feel that someone is interested in solving your problem. This has been the case for several years. Very frustrating!
She SAVED MY LIFE. Dr Kalahasthy did not rest until she found out what was wrong. My rare diagnosis took time. But she was indefatigable. I am beyond grateful.
I have been to her begore and she was okay, so I needed regular colonoscopy and decided to try her again. Her office staff leaves a lot to be desired...totally unknowledgeable, impatient and rude. Finally made a televisit 3 weeks out and was promised info would be sent via text to inform me how to use, along with paperwork. Received nothing. I am to have this televisit in 30 mins and have called there 5 times, only to get recording stating they are out to lunch OR the call is picked up and then disconnected...it's 1:50 now. I am cancelling the whole thing! If they ever call me again, that is!!!!
GREAT DOCTOR. VERY HELFUL.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
