List of MIchael T. Borenstein's Reviews
Dr Borenstein is a fine Dermatologist. I had been a very active patient for four years . His office staff was always uncomfortable to deal with. My last visit was the final straw. I had forgotten my mask and the front desk turned me away. The receptionist said “go to the mall, buy one, and then come back.” “Really? You can’t give me one? You are a medical facility.” No. Go to the mall. I was very upset to be treated like so shabbily. When I tried to call Dr Borenstein from the parking lot, he never called back. Good bye Dr Borenstein, hello Dr Vitulli. Hey, anywhere else you will be given a mask if you forget yours. There are many other fine Dermatologists in the area. I see one now. His staff is very welcoming. I will never go back.
Front office never notified me prior to coming to appointment that Dr. Borenstein would not see me due to the fact that I recently traveled out of state “COVID” !!! There was No notification signage at the front desk, front door or anywhere - I lost a day at work to make this appointment and he was not even willing to come out and speak with me using the social distancing standards, I was wearing a mask with NO COVID-19 symptoms and had tested negative one week prior to my visit!! Doctor??? Look for another dermatologist that really cares about his patients and doesn’t just collect money!!!
Dr. Borenstein is very caring and an excellent dermatologist. The office staff are outstanding. I arrived for an appointment in error and they tried to fit me in. They are very pleasant and really respect my time. Much appreciated.
Have been going to Dr. Borenstein for at least 10 years. Always asks about you’re well being, concerned, very thorough not only with the head check and upper body, but with the entire body. Makes a very unpleasant situation an acceptable one. My husband and I both are his patient and very satisfied.
Dr. Borenstein and his staff are wonderful. Very thorough, professional, and technically proficient. I appreciate the fact that they value my time and never leave me waiting in a room for extended periods.
So, had a $395 full body scan...didn't know it was going to be $395, but I called him and those are the prices. This guy must be killing it, because he was with me for less than 10 minutes. Looked over my body quickly and told me not to pick my toes and where sunscreen. They pulled 2 little things off my body to send for a screen and said, 'see you in 6 months'. Seriously? Seriously?...oh, did I mention they sent those 2 samples off for screening, $992(thanks for the heads-up Dr. I'm too good for you), but turns-out they were nothing, so lucky me.He must focus on something other than dermatology...maybe he's a cosmetic guy or something. So, if you are looking to find a dermatologist to build a relationship with, that may actually care about your well-being...this isn't the guy. Normally, I wouldn't even make mention of the check-in girls(at a vet, dentist or a doctor)...but these ones were just stupid. Had to repeat the same answers 3 times. Get off the personal calls and stop talking about your personal diet issues and focus on the people paying over 2k an hour. I hope you read this review and wonder why someone would even bother, but seriously, you are dumb and need to be replaced.Next
Just read a review of Dr B. by a female that complained about his insistence on having a female assistant present when he saw the patient; this is totally proper and standard practice, as it should be, in today's litigious environment. My daughter saw Dr. Borenstein and was pleased with his care.
Putting aside his professional credentials, whatever they may be, Dr Borenstein evinces little to no respect for patient privacy. When asked to see him privately in the absence of his female assistant, Dr. Borenstein refused stating only his practice was to have her present. When I explained my desire for privacy, he became somewhat irate telling me I should find another doctor Dr Borenstein has a poor bedside manner and evidently cares little about his patient's privacy concerns. Frankly, he's a real jerk! I left his office without being treated and would not recommend him to anyone.
I became a patient after seeing how wonderfully Dr. B & his staff took care of my friend and his dad. I had a little skin tag in my armpit for 36 yrs & I was scared to have it removed. I hate needles, especially there. The PA, was very comforting, even held my hand while getting the shot. I barely felt the needle, it really didn't hurt! He talked to me about what I was doing for Thanksgiving & asked me questions to distract me & it worked. After it was numb I had no idea he was finished removing and cauterizing it. Whole thing took 2 minutes. No pain while healing either. Great staff as well! 5 stars all around!
Dr Borenstein is very thorough and professional. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
