Richard Margolies's Online Review Report Card

It is my pleasure to recommend Dr. Richard Margolies and his team to anyone considering cataract removal surgery. Dr Margolies was masterful in removing the cataracts and replacing my lenses and providing excellent care, along with his capable and compassionate staff, during the pre-op, out patient surgery, and post op procedures. Dr Margolies and staff were so patient and knowledgeable in explaining the procedure and the options available, so attentive during the surgery, as well as during the post-op recovery. And they are generously available for any follow up concerns. Dr.Margolies has a solid endorsement from our family as he has successfully operated on my mother, my husband, my sister, my friend, and now me. Thank you Dr. Margolies and your wonderful staff for making the world a brighter place for us all.

Not a good experience with the Dr or his surgery center considering what's at stake "Your Eyesight" do your own due diligence you have a lot at stake

Beware their corrupt partnership with the CareCredit scam artists who were ordered by the Consumer Financual Protection Bureau to pay out 225 million dollars in 2014. This on top of the stacking of copays inconsistent with insurance the part ownership of a "surgery center" that had me show up at 6 am with a demand to pay nearly double what the copay was because they mislabeled their facilty.

Dr. Margolies & his entire staff are incredible. I came to Dr. Margolies with really itchy, red, swollen eyes after going to a few other doctors with no solution or cause found. He instantly knew how to treat me and just a few months later my eyes are 100% healed and the best they’ve been in years. He knows his stuff and cares.

Dr. Margolies is talented but his staff gave me a pair of sample contacts expired on 2018/03. Which means they probably received these in 2013 or 2014. The solution where the lens is kept may have been compromised and if used may have lead to an eye infection because these type of contacts can be left in overnight. When I brought this to the staff's attention, no one apologized and offered to replace. Instead they went into cover up mode and said, "We will look into and get back to you." No one ever followed up. Also, after arriving for an appointment, the office manager sat with me in the waiting area with other patients to hear and said to me that I did not pay my bill from the last visit. She was trying to collect a $50 refraction fee that the doctor never performed a year ago hence why I never received a bill for it. When I mentioned that I did not have the refraction or eye dilation performed last year because of an event I was attending afterwards, she said, "Dilation has nothing to do with refraction, you still owe $50." My insurance would always cover the appointment and I would pay an extra fee for the refraction or dilation as done several times in the past. She is ignorant and rude.

I have just come back from a visit with Dr. Margolies. He is an excellent doctor who explains everything clearly and in a kind way. His staff and office are friendly, competent and everything runs smoothly. I have been going to Dr. Margolies for years and have recommended him to many of my friends who also had rave reviews for him.

Dr. Margolies is a caring great doctor. I have been going to him for years because of his expertise, ability to explain everything in lay terms, and great care. His office is one the best run offices. All the personnel are pleasant and helpful.

The extra mile. Last week I had an eye infection and I reached out to Dr Margioles which was on vacation in California at that time. Disregarding of it, he contacted me and after I sent him a few pictures he immediately took care me. All I can say is thank him for his promptness and his availability.

My wife, Denise, had her second successful cataract surgery performed by Dr. Margolies. His patient care and compassion is outstanding. She highly recommends him to anyone needing an ophthalmologist. In addition, his staff is extremely helpful and professional.

I had Lasik surgery 15 years ago. One eye went well the other left me with a focal point of about 6 inches. I was told by multiple doctors that there was nothing that could be done short of a cornea transplant and that was not recommended. I since developed cataracts bad enough that I could not drive without glasses. I had come to accept living in a gray world. I decided that I needed to have the cataract surgery before it got worse. A family member suggested I see Dr Margloies. We did the bad eye first. To our amazement I know have 20/30 vision in my bad eye. I then had the good eye done and have 20/20 vision in that eye. I now live in a world of brilliant colors and can read signs without glasses. I am so thankful for this Dr Margolies for working me through my fear of eye surgery and his professional skills.
