Palm Beach Orthopaedics is the epitomy of excellence. I have personally had many joint replacements in the past and was referred to that group by a friend. On my initial visit I was warmly greeted by the smiling face of Dr. Avinos assistant, Heather. She guided me to the examination room and we discussed my reason for the visit. The entire visit was timely and moved quickly from triage to the taking of the radiographs and onto Dr. Avino entering the exam room to introduce himself to me. He was warm and cordial and gave me ample time to explain my concerns and past history. The discussion regarding his findings on the radiographs was thorough as he explained in precise terms his plan to relieve the pain I was experiencing. I knew he was surgeon I was looking for when he did not jump to immediate surgery. He placed me on an anti-inflammatory medication that gave me relief fairly quickly, also reiterating that eventual surgery would be the only answer. On June 7, 2023 Dr. Avino performed the Stryker robotic anterior approach surgery. I was out of the hospital the next day and went home to recuperate. I was walking in my home without aid of a walker within days, moved onto a cane, and have not looked back. The horrific bone pain was gone immediately after surgery. My physical therapy was trying at times but I am a fighter and a fast healer always determined to live my best life. Dr. Avino has given that to me. He is a caring and devoted surgeon and I highly recommend him. Many thanks to both he and Heather for their diligence in my care.
