Robert Cywes's Online Review Report Card

I would not recommend this doctor to anyone. I went to see Dr. Cywes for a medical issue, and I was very disappointed with the care I received. Dr. Cywes believes in non-peer reviewed research, and he often talked about his own personal theories about health and wellness. He also seemed to think of himself as a therapist, and he spent more time trying to give me life advice than he did actually addressing my medical concerns. Dr. Cywes's bedside manner was terrible. He was dismissive of my concerns, and he often interrupted me when I was trying to talk. He also seemed more interested in promoting his YouTube channel and his personal business than he was in actually providing me with medical care. To top it all off, Dr. Cywes does not have an online payment portal. This meant that I had to write him a check. This was a huge inconvenience, and it added an extra layer of stress to an already frustrating experience. Like please come on, welcome to the 21st century. I would not recommend Dr. Cywes to anyone. If you are looking for a doctor who is competent, compassionate, and professional, I would suggest looking elsewhere.

I have been a patient of his for around 3 years, online. I count it one of my biggest Blessings that my husband and I encountered him right before the pandemic hit. He is the most empathetic doctor I have ever known. Being retired from the medical field, I knew many. It kind of like when I visited Alaska the first time, no words to describe the beauty there...It is hard to find proper words to describe this person/doctor. I highly recommend him to anyone!!!

I travel over 175 miles just for an office visit. It’s totally worth it. I highly recommend Dr. Cywes. If you are having problems losing weight, he is the best in the business. Very experienced and very one on one with everybody.

My wife and daughter received lap bands as well from Dr. CYWES. SUFFERED WITH SEVERE PAIN FOR YEARS. TODAY MY WIFE HAS HAD HERS REMOVED AND MY DAUGHTER IS IN THE HOSPITAL TODAY WITH A MAJOR INFECTION FROM THE RUNNING OF THE BAND. THE BAND IS DETERIORATING CAUSING THE INFECTION. GUESS THE $10,000 CASH PRICE FOR EACH ONE DIDN'T GET US THE COOKIE UP FROM HIM HE LEFT TOWN NOT KING AFTER HE INSTALLED THE BANDS. WE HAVE BEEN FOLLOWING UP WITH OTHER DR.S SINCE THE ISSUES STARTED.

I visited Dr. Cywes for an appt and left disgusted. He spoke the entire time, interrupted me while I was answering his own questions and has a very arrogant no nonsense disposition and attitude. Maybe he was in a rush, maybe he loves hearing himself speak (the latter is certain). There was no true compassion or empathy from Dr. Cywes to actually learn my story, why I was really there and the like. Dr. Cywes IMO is a more full of himself than compassion and that is an honest experience--not meant to be an insult. I have NO DOUBT Dr. Cywes is on track and correct in his carb philosophies which is what led me to him; it's so hard to find a doc who believes this stuff. But my goodness, he was awful and I would not go back. I'd rather pay out of pocket for a professionals who do not accept insurance but treat carb addiction and weight loss accordingly.
