List of Gerardo Baldassarri's Reviews
We recently chose to use Dr. Baldassarri as our primary family care doctor, big mistake! Our eldest daughter (6) has food allergies, and recently had what appeared to be a transient reaction to something else – that we could not identify. Thus, we made an appt with Dr. Baldassarri to get her checked on. The earliest appointment was 3 weeks out. Fortunately her problem went away on its own. Regardless, we thought it may be time for a new round of allergy testing. So, we went ahead with the appt. As it turned out, our younger daughter (3) had a bad fever the night prior to our elder daughters appt. She was also coughing like she had a chest infection. When we checked in for our elder daughter, I told the receptionist I would like our younger daughter checked also – without concern if there may have been a charge. The receptionist indicated it probably would not be a problem, and just to ask the Dr. when we saw him. As it turned out, near the end our time with him “evaluating our elder daughter” I mentioned the younger daughter’s illness. To which he said (sitting right in front of our younger, sick daughter) “It’s probably like a virus or something, you would need to get an appointment and paperwork and come back in” Seriously? 3 weeks out on new appointments. You won’t take 2 minutes to look over my sick daughter – who WAS also to be a patient of his? You are kidding right? It gets worse: Knowing that he was also on staff at the local Mediquik and according to him, would be there the following day (Saturday), I decided to give him another chance – and go through the proper channels to have my younger daughter looked at (even though I tried that at his regular office the day prior). So, we brought her to Mediquick to see him – and attempt some continuum (since he was her primary). As it turned out, I also needed to discuss something very important with him that was more clerical in nature – regarding my specific records from previous visits to Mediquick. Thus, I tried to make it a dual appointment (again, willing to pay for both myself and my daughter) as it was CRITICAL that I have this discussion with him. After explaining this to the short and snippy receptionist (Mediquick), she went back and spoke with Dr. Baldassarri. When she came back, she informed me that he would see my daughter, but would not speak with me about the important issue that needed a grand total of 3 minutes worth of discussion. Absolutely unprofessional on all counts. At this point I formulated a very negative opinion of Dr. Baldassarri. So, we walked out. His character and integrity are severely lacking. I would not recommend this self-righteous doctor to anyone. He has lost our respect and trust entirely. The ironic thing is, he probably does not even care that he lost patients. Perhaps others have had good experiences? Ours was anything but… Never again!
Our family of five started going to Dr. Baldassarri several years ago. We had to change our insurance & our GP at the time was not in the network. Best thing that ever happened to us, having to change GP's. Dr. B is thorough in ordering appropriate yearly lab work for our physicals. He never rushes through his exams. He addresses any concerns that he has over test results and/or medical changes from the previous year. Our children are in college now but when they were home, there were several occasions where we had an issue that required immediate attention. Staff always managed to work us into Dr. B's schedule. The one time it couldn't be done, we saw his associate, Dr. DeLeon, who we also liked. I wish we had established with Dr. Baldassarri years ago. As to the other review here on Google, I can only say that I understand what it's like to have sick children and to want immediate attention but it's not unusual for practices to have to give preference to established patients. If you are not a patient of record, almost any doctor will refer you to the ER or Mediquick because they are booked. It's just as frustrating for physicians to have a patient with an appointment come in & expect another family member to be seen, thinking it will only take a few minutes. Being a former medical worker, I can tell you that you wouldn't believe the number of patients who ask for more than what they're scheduled for but they also get furious if they're left waiting 1/2 hr. to an hour past their own scheduled appointment. Doctors don't know ahead of time that what you're asking is only going to take a few minutes. If it turns out to be something more involved, they will be obligated to take the time to be thorough in their treatment. They've now intruded on their next patient's time. By the end of the day, that can put them hours behind. I feel the need to add this to my review since I came on here to give positive feedback after my yearly physical a few days and was surprised to see that there was only one very negative review. We are very pleased with Dr. Baldassarri as our GP.
Horrible bedside manner. Does not care for his patients at all. He appears to only be there for the money. He does not seem to care to listen to what his patients think the issue is. He preconceives your ailment, regardless of what you say. I would not allow this guy to apply a band aid. Once and done, he lost our trust on the first visit. We tried to give him a 2nd shot, only to be even more disappointed.

Not worthy of your time. Does not care about his patients, at. all.
Dr baldasary has been my doctor almost 4 year he is the best doctor I seen in my entire life he is the best also his staff is also very friendly and helpful
In general, I am very skeptical about doctors and try to avoid doctors as much as possible. I believe that while there is a gigantic technological progress, doctors more and more operate just as business people. But Dr. Gerardo Baldassari is one of exceptions. I visited his office two times so far. In my opinion, by all performance criteria, doctor, his office, and staff are excellent.
Excellent care. Tells you straight up how you are, what you need. I was sad to leave his care when we moved out of state.
Diagnoses patients and prescribes patients with disorders that they don't actually have and then doesn't take responsibility for it. Absolutely UNPROFESSIONAL.
Wonderful caring professionals!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
