I was scheduled 4 surgery. The Dr didn't call in any pain meds 4 afterwards. Next day I called the office & was told 2 go 2 the ER. Spent 5 hrs there having unnecessary tests, just 2 get pain meds!!!! REDICULOUS!! Spent thousands of $ just 2 get pain meds after surgery!!!
Makes pts feel comfortable, no rushing in or out, patient with questions asked thorough exam. Generally experienced patient oriented provider!!
Dr. McKinley has been my gastro for many years. He is very caring and very thorough! I highly recommend him!
Dr.mckinley is a understanding, caring doctor. i would not change him for anything.i've been with him for many years now.my sister also goes to him,and she's picky.
Initial appointment was with his PA who was very thorough and pleasant. I saw Dr. McKinley for less than 5 minutes after my endoscopy. He was rude and dismissive. Told me I would have to come back in a week or two and have the procedure done again due to no fault of mine. My nurse daughter was with me and was appalled by his behavior. Never heard from his office on a follow up or even to check how I was doing. The 20 minute procedure was costly, even with insurance and meeting my deductible, and from his comments and dismissiveness, I am left to wonder what exactly he did. I won't ever go back to him.
Absolutely the best.
He a very nice and experienced doctor. I've been getting my Colonoscopies with him for years now. I've had polyps removed and never a complication or problem. Definitely would recommend him as your doctor.
Heard all good reviews.my dr..Bethesda recommended e to see him asap. Wondering if it's safe for dental work first.?
I would like to say that DR. McKinley has turned out to be a really good doctor. I would Like to ask for his forgiveness as He was telling my wife the truth about an illness we thought she had and didn't. I believed another doctor over him and for that I am sorry. He has addressed all my wife's concerns and has told her to see another specialist to check here thyroid. I should of checked the facts before posting any reviews. His staff has been really friendly and prompt when asked questions.
My Mom saw Dr. McKinley earlier today and he was belittling to her when she tried to ask him about a specific finding/medical condition that was recently found on her CT when she was seen in the Emergency Dept. a few nights prior. How unprofessional and uncaring for a doctor to be like this when a patient is in need of medical advice and help during a very difficult time due to recent health issues.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
