List of Kizhake Kurian's Reviews
I'm one of the younger people with heart failure, and boy do I pay for it. Whenever I get a chance to speak to Doc, it is always short and what feels rushed. We never discussed a diet plan, or just an overall game plan to improve ejection fraction. It's just "take your medications" or "you're young, come back on this date". I had to find out the level of seriousness of my condition from Google. No pamphlet, no structured game plan, just in and out. When I research my ejection fraction percentage, it is clear that there should be more discussion on the table (involving either a possible future pacemaker, surgery, etc...). Meetings with Doc seem to last no more than 3 to 5 minutes. You almost end up feeling like saying "hey, I know you're in a rush, but......", or "hold on before you walk out the door, just one more question.....". The staff is great, and it has been a warm vibe in the office for the couple years that I've been going there. As for Dr. Kurian, he is nice (that I will say), but my main bit of advice is to spend more time with your patients, and keep a good line of communication with them. Make sure that they know and understand the seriousness of their situation. If others are experiencing different, then I don't know, maybe it's just me.
Dr. Kurian is by far the best. Genuine concern for your health. Listens to your concerns and addresses concerns.
The best cardiologist! Always concerned, caring and you never feel rushed. I’ve been seeing him since 2011, and had two stents in 2013. His manner is very warm, and make you very comfortable to discuss anything. Would never go anywhere else.
ALWAYS way off schedule. Waited an hour for my scheduled appointment. Staff always say doc was late coming in. Clearly doesn’t review my file/previous tests before speaking to me. Reads from the pages before just handing them to me. Prescribes medication with little or no discussion. Nursing staff don’t always get those prescriptions right either. Frustrating experience. No confidence in him.
I moved away from Palm Coast, but I miss Dr. Kurian so much. He is a wonderful doctor, very thorough, very knowledgeable and has a great sense of humor. He helped me immensely.
I think he is truly a great doctor and his staff is always so nice.
Very pleased with Dr Kurian and staff. He takes time to listen and explain. Office staff are very very pleasant and helpful.
My husband saw him after a hospital stay for a follow-up test. He said the test was fine so all he needed to do was have a stressed test and he was good to go. When we went to the front to check out we found out from the scheduler that the test was not a simple treadmill test but involved injecting a medication to make his heart race and would require fasting. I know there are risks associated with that as my mother had had it and it took hours for them to be able to get her heart to stop racing after the test. Because the doctor had not mentioned this in the appointment we did not have a chance to talk about the risks and benefits. Then the scheduler tells us that he has also ordered 2 other tests which he had never mentioned. They were non-invasive test, but still the doctor should have been the one to tell us, not the scheduler. So I asked to speak to the doctor again. I was asked to wait and when I did get to speak to him he stood at the door of the waiting room. No privacy. One of the tests that he had ordered was, he said, because he had no pulses in his feet, but the doctor had never even checked for pulses in his feet!
He is the best he always listens and doesn’t brush off any thing u tell him I had sx 2 yrs ago and then another episode recently I would recommend him highly for any cardiac issues he is to to pout and doesn’t beat around the bush
Dr. Kurian is the best overall cardiologist ever. He saved and operated on my Dad when other cardiologists said to let nature take his course. He addded so far 5 years to his life and he is 89 now. I highly recommend Dr. Kurian and would trust my life with him.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
