Anthony Donatelli's Online Review Report Card

I was a patient of Dr. Donatelli for about two years after moving to the Palm Harbor area. All of my interactions with the Doctor and his staff were pleasant and professional. Dr. Donatelli listened to me and provided excellent medical service. I recently moved away from the area, and I have a new patient appointment scheduled with a new PCP, but I had a blood pressure medication run out with no refills available. Although it has been 9 months since I left Dr. D's practice, when I called and explained the situation he immediately called in a refill to my local pharmacy! I highly recommend Dr. Donatelli!

Just like another review about a week prior... new patient. I went through all the hoops, helping them find my insurance, add Dr Donatelli to my insurance, and book an appointment a month out. Then upon arrival I'm informed they aren't taking new patients and someone supposedly called me a week ago to turn me away. Who called and where's the message they should have left? who knows, they don't. Apparently it takes 3 weeks to remember you can't take new patients, or maybe they looked up my medical history and thought I was too healthy to make enough money off? Either way, this is a terrible way to treat someone. I will never recommend this practice and further will choose to go without medical attention than to use Advent Health, who these folks are connected to. Thanks for nothing.

ZERO STARS IS WHAT THEY DESERVE BUT I AM FORCED ON THIS SITE TO GIVE 1 STAR !!!!! I cannot even begin to express how disgusted I am with this office and this group. I made a new patient appointment in early December to see Dr. Donatelli only to arrive for my appointment today and be told that my appointment was cancelled and they no longer are accepting new patients... but they could give me information to see a physician at another office and wait yet again for the new patient appointment date to arrive!!!!! They claim I was called regarding the cancellation, but funny thing NEVER DID I RECEIVE A CALL ABOUT A CANCELLATION!!! This is a terrible way to treat someone especially when the person has a health concern -then waits anxiously for the appointment date to arrive and then be turned away!!! Shame on this office and this practice. Now here I go again looking for another physician and will probably have to wait another month or more to see someone. GOD help me, hoping this issue I am having is not serious or life threating or getting worse through all this waiting!!!

Highly unethical practice. I have never had so many issues than with Dr. DONATELLI. The foundation to medicine is to abide by the hypocratic oath to treat patients who are in need. Instead DR. DONATELLI is driven by MONEY and GREED. I made a normal yearly visit appointment which is provided through insurance. DR. DONATELLI then proceeds to speak to you in a friendly tone about unrelated subjects and then BILL your insurance and you for a specialists visit for services he did not perform. I have brought this to the attention to the office staff and to DR. DONATELLI personally and refuses to remove the charges. I would NEVER recommend this practice to anyone I know.

Office staff and assistants were kind, professional and accommodating - could not ask for better experience with staff. Dr. Donatelli was very nice in person, but offered very poor quality of care. I sympathize with other reviews that state they waited forever for him to follow up with bloodwork or diagnosis. I had the same experience. When I had not heard back from him, I checked the portal for information. MANY, MANY mistakes on my chart to include missed allergies, wrong surgeries and factual errors. Office billed routine bloodwork as diagnostic so now I have to untangle this mess. So many errors. To date, spent over $800 out of pocket between two office visits and two diagnostic tests he ordered from Advent Hospital. More bills coming. Wish I never went here. I had updated everything prior to first visit. Told staff on telephone - still no follow up. I do not recommend this doctor at all. UPDATE - I appreciate the Advent response, but poor quality of care, messed up billing and factual errors on my records is NOT a good experience. I was trying to be kind because his staff is really nice, but at the end of the day - NOT a good end result.

Knows his stuff, excellent “bedside” manner, treats you with respect and like he has all the time in the world for you. Also has the neatest framed displays on treatment rooms with Antique Remedies used way back when… Fabulous!

I was going to be a new patient & scheduled online through my new low-cost provider, but I get a call telling me that they don't schedule new patients 1st thing in the morning even though I wasn't given that info online. I am a new patient but I have a medical issue I need attention. I call them & am told that the earliest they can schedule my appointment is in June! I could be dead by then! This is just another prime example of how messed up health care is in this country. You say you're taking new patients but it's only what's convenient for you, not me, who has to take time off from work. So now I guess I have to go sit in the ER to find out what this is. You're just another lousy doctor.

They don’t care much about their patients. Waited a week to get a blood work result and still they have not called for the results. I called and nothing! . I don’t recommend them at all!!
