List of Craig Burns's Reviews
He was ok if you are just going in for checkups or basic needs. For anything more complex, not so much.
Dr. Burns is an amazing doctor! Unlike other doctors I’ve been to, I never felt like he was rushing my visit. He listened to all of needs/concerns and provided a plan/solution for all of them. His office staff is also very kind! My mother is also a patient of his. I would highly recommend him/his office!!
He is a very caring doctor. Listens to what the patient has to say.
This is the best doctor/dad ever.
I really like this doctor. I felt like we have genuine and informative conversations regarding my kids' health. He has helped us greatly with an ongoing issue that my son has. However, this office is the most frustrating and hard to get a hold of doctors office I've ever had to go to. I would change but with my insurance it's complicated. They do not return calls. They have a history of bungling prescriptions, and then it taking weeks for them to sort it out. This time I have been trying to get a hold of them with a prescription issue, fairly urgent, since December 2. It is now December 19 and I have been calling every other day and despite multiple promises that they would call me back "in 6 to 8 hours with a solution", I have heard nothing. We are dealing with a child's daily medication. Avoid this place at all cost because they are either horrifically understaffed or incredibly inept. This is probably the third time we've had to wait weeks to get a response for a prescription issue- for a child!!! Unacceptable.
Dr Craig Burns is very pleasant doctor however I have had absolutely no follow-up care or communication between specialists I would definitely not choose him as my primary doctor if you have health issues that are affecting your life I initially saw him December of 2020 and had quite a few Labs drawn and not once did anybody call me as there were many abnormal values I had to email them to his staff three times and I still did not get a follow-up call. Again through my insurance this year I had some Labs drawn and of course nobody called me with the abnormals to discuss them I had to follow up and see what to do I truly truly believe this office has absolutely no communication skills between members staff or patients. And I was 11 you would think Advent health who claims to be the best healthcare team in the world would have at least a human being to call the patient and follow up with abnormal lab work concerns or referrals it's been a horrific experience
Keeps calling in wrong prescription over and over.
I have seen Dr. Burns when his partner (my regular Dr. Lay) was on vacation. My Dr. retired and I didn’t receive notice until my medication refill was denied. I phoned the office and made an appointment. I still required my medication refill, and I asked that my ONE medication be refilled while I await my appointment. I was told NO. This isn’t first time in the 4 states I lived (Husband is a Defense & Military Contractor) that a Doctor of mine has retired and a change of care to a partner was ordered. HOWEVER, while I wait for this Appointment, the Doctor WON’T refill a home medication of 5 years by his partner as I am an established patient with the group. I was told to go to urgent care for a refill. Surprise! I thought a Doctor would want you healthy and in stability while you wait to be seen. This doesn’t feel like what CARE should look like.
Keeps calling in the wrong prescription and can't get it correct!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
