Doug Eiland's Online Review Report Card

I wonder if this doctor even reads the MRIs. Plastic surgeon felt the lump(s). Lump(s) are listed on the office visit report but Dr. Eiland could not see any identifiable lumps on mri w/wo contrast… very strange!

I did not see this doctor but he was the person assigned to reading my C,T&L SPINE MRI. What an extreme contradiction to my previous MRI. It looks to me he took absolutely no time to review it properly thus leaving out several diagnoses. I surely want my MRI reviewed by another licensed radiologist. After reading the previous comments I believe we are all basically saying the same thing. This "doctor" has no clue what he's doing.

Dr. Eiland read my mammogram in 2018 while at Advanced Imaging and said it was benign. I asked them to compare it to my last mammo at Lake Imaging to use as a base. (They are required to do so). They said they would. In 2019 went to Lake Imaging for annual mammogram and told that it was abnormal--nodules on right breast. Diagnosis: cancer. Had to collect all my reports to sent to Moffitt. When looking over all my reports, found out that the one from Dr. Eiland said I had nodules on right breast but never told me and never compared it to Lake Imaging because their report had no mention of nodules. He knew about nodules but failed to do anything about it! His negligence cause me to have to wait a year for a proper diagnosis!

Dr. Eiland read my mammogram in 2018 and failed to check it with my last mammogram at Lake Imaging. I was told it was normal-benign when in fact I found out later he actually found nodules but didn't report it to me or anybody else. He falsified his finding by saying he checked it out but I returned to Lake Imaging and checked it out and they had no record of nodules on any of my mammograms. I didn't find out until my mammogram in June, 2019, that I had nodules which they immediately had tested further, and I was diagnosed with cancer. Dr. Eiland never reported his initial findings to anyone ; I have reports from Lake Imaging showing he could not have compared his reports to theirs because theirs showed no nodules. Because of him I had to wait 1 year to find out I had cancer. How could a Dr. be so negligent and uncaring. He needs to be held accountable!!

Dr. Eiland attached another patient’s written report to my mammogram films triggering an “abnormal findings” certified letter which resulted in great anguish to myself and my family members, calls from my primary care physician and from my gynecologist and an appointment with the breast surgeon. My breast surgeon and his radiologist both concurred that the report didn’t correlate to images in the films and did further investigation. They came to the conclusion that the report was not mine which was brought to the attention of Dr. Eiland and the staff at Bowes Imaging Center. With definite culpability and gross negligence Dr. Eiland confirmed that mistakes are being made at Bowes Imaging Center while conversely not owning up to his error.

Dr. Eiland attached another patient’s written report to my mammogram films triggering an “abnormal findings” certified letter and resulting in great anguish to myself and my family members, calls from my primary care physician and from my gynecologist and an appointment with the breast surgeon. The breast surgeon and his radiologist both concurred that the report didn’t correlate to images in the films and did further investigation. They came to the conclusion that the report was not mine. A corrected report was sent 10 days letter with a letter to me regarding the correct findings. If all of this wasn’t enough trauma, I spoke with Dr. Eiland and was met with a brusque, dismissive and disinterested attitude with no apology offered. Among other nasty comments during the phone call he referred to the “F***ing staff. They never keep employees, someone just learns the job and then they quit, they are always training new people and it’s a F***ing mess”. This is the most unprofessional treatment I have ever been subjected to by a medical professional.
